Hi.

I hope someone can weigh in on this. I'm getting my I-134 ready (for the Ciudad Juarez consulate) and am unsure if what my bank gave me will meet the "statement from bank officer" requirement. Here goes:

My bank gave me a print out that states when my accounts were opened, the average balances in both accounts, the current balance in both accounts, and print outs of all debits and deposits in both accounts since August 2005. They stamped the bank's name on top of all of this and dated it.

Is this alright or do I need to go back and have them sign everything and put it in letter format?

I appreciate all your help! Thanks!

My brother is my co sponsor and I sent him to his bank (Washington Mutual) with the format of the letter he needed. I basically wrote the letter and he went to the New Accounts person and he retyped the same letter with the needed information then printed it, signed it, and attached a business card. I also called his bank prior to goinng in to make sure this was possible and to explain that it is a government form, affidavit of support for immigration so they said no problem. Good luck!

Thanks for your replies. I think I'll head back to the bank and ask them to either notarize what they already gave me or have them summarize it on letterhead. Thanks again!

Hi,

I think so far is everything alright. But you do have to notarize the statements.
