EAD Question

I know that the ultimate decision rests with the IO during the AOS adjustment interview, but have a question regarding the EAD/AP applications.

Q) Under what circumstances do they reject your EAD or AP when you file for them while adjusting status? In my case for instance, I am to appear for the Biometrics on 03-13-2009. What are my chances as far as the EAD or AP are concerned?

Q) If my case is to be rejected during the interview, why would they allow me to work now or allow me to have access to a drivers License/SSN?

your input would be appreciated

There is no reason they would deny you the EAD and AP after your biometrics, unless they come across some evidence of fraud. As to the AOS, you both will just need to prove that your marriage is for real and have all the evidence with you for the interview. Do you have some reason to doubt that you will get the AOS?

Thank You Old Dominion for your reply,

The doubts are always there even if you have a 100% genuine case. Since the burden of proof lies on me, I am concerned. Yes, my timeline might be considered suspicious, but I am hoping I can convince the IO when the time comes. Rest is all fate. My main concern at the moment is to be able to get a SSN and Drivers license so that I start working my way in the system. Unless I receive my EAD card or production order letter, I can apply for none and be unproductive. But how can they suspect fraud unless they have interviewed me or seen evidence from my side to prove my geniuness. This was my question. From what I have seen, the EAD's get issued way before your interviews.
