Transfered today!

Hey Guys,

Newby here...Today I got the email that I was transfered from VSC to CSC.

NOA-11/1/09

Transfer to CSC-3/10/09

huh?! Transferring Nov 08 cases to CSC?! Not sure what to think now!

If the NOA date is 11/1 then it's probably an October case.

Priority date for USCIS is the RD, not the NOA date.

The RD is written on your NOA. It says "Receipt Date: xx/xx/xxxx"

That's the priority date they use.

I am not trying to point fingers or anything mean, just trying to understand and learn, please educate me. Thanks!

It's not the NOA date, it is the "Receipt Date". There's a window for receipt date on the NOA.

They're very close to each other usually, my receipt date was 7/31 and my NOA was issued on 8/1. However, mine is a July case.

ok. I'm looking at my NOA letter, the only date that I see on there is "Receipt Date: 01/30/2009" and "Receipt Time: 19:08". There is not a date that said when did they issue the NOA, so I assume/suppose the RD is the NOAD? But the envelope stamp date is 2/3/2009 and I got it in my mail box 2/5/2009. May be the version of NOA that you guys get is different than mine?
