Approved!! :dance::dance::dance: Just got the letter and the approval date is 04/01/09. According to USCIS website my application is still in VSC but I'm not complaining :) Thanks a bunch for all the advice and info. Now a couple of months off and then time to start the naturalisation application.

P.S. Funny how the USCIS doesn't work on a "first come first served basis". I can't believe that they are working on October 2008 cases already (and skipped all those July, August, September cases)!.... :wacko: Nevertheless, glad to hear that someone from the VSC to CSC transfers got approved recently...:)

P.S. Funny how the USCIS doesn't work on a "first come first served basis". I can't believe that they are working on October 2008 cases already (and skipped all those July, August, September cases)!.... :wacko: Nevertheless, glad to hear that someone from the VSC to CSC transfers got approved recently... :)

Approved!! :dance::dance::dance: Just got the letter and the approval date is 04/01/09. According to USCIS website my application is still in VSC but I'm not complaining :) Thanks a bunch for all the advice and info. Now a couple of months off and then time to start the naturalisation application.

I think they work by batches.

so this batch got transferred on 3/20 and Papuo was probably on top of the pile, good for him.

One officer (thank god) cannot possibly take care of all I-751s (well, maybe at VSC, lol) so they split them.

Anyways, we'll all be approved soon.

You think they work in batches? I have a different theory based on my friends application and the myriad of problems in their application WHICH WAS APPROVED in about 6 months. :innocent: I think there are government workers who are expected to complete a certain amount of I-751 applications in a day or a week. Some of those employees just stamp "approved" with very little scrutiny of the applicant or the forms. Trust me when I say there were several RED flags on our friends application including a new address, a letter asking for the last name to be changed on the new card and a letter from the person who originally sponsored her financially when she arrived to withdraw that sponsorship. Still a quick approval with no questions asked. I also think there are other government employees who actually take the time to make sure all the t's are crossed and i's dotted and basically do their job. Just my two cents.

I have my congressman checking on my case. I'm not going to waste time calling USCIS. I always let my elected officials do that for me, gets better results.

The order of the approvals makes no sense at all, and is really starting to piss me off! :ranting:

Perhaps they're just grabbing files randomly as they go. They're not suppose to do that but since CSC is taking the responsibility for VSC, I think they're just trying to go through all them cases that weren't supposed belongs to them as soon as possible, that's why they don't quite care about the orderly fashion anymore. Anyways, I feel sorry for the VJers that first got transferred from TSC to VSC and now VSC to CSC. I truly wish you guys and gals will see the light by the end of the tunnel soon. :star: Good Luck!

6/17/2010 - Able to see case status "Initial Review"

6/18/2010 - LUD

7/2/2010 - Called mis-information line to put in a service request for STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED "FP NOTICE"

7/8/2010 - LUD, at 2:32am, received text msg and e-mail for req. for add'l evidence being mailed out on July 6th, believe it's for the FP

7/12/2010 - Received FP notice in mail, scheduled for 8/2/2010

7/15/2010 - Walk in FP

7/22/2010 - Online status changed to "Case sent to local office for interview schedule"

7/27/2010 - Received interview letter for 8/23/2010

8/23/2010 - Passed interview, was informed that next oath date is 9/22/2010 and oath letter will come in the mail

9/3/2010 - Received oath letter in the mail for 9/22/2010
