hi

our file fr cr1 on 02/02/09 got transferred to csc from vsc....anyone else had the same happen

from looking atthe forum some have and already had they file approved in csc....

any info or help would be good

Hi,

Our file didn't get transferred. However, we should have been sent to VSC as my husband is from VA.

However we've been sent directly to CSC. Not sure why but I know of at least one other who this has happened to.

Maybe States that should be directed to VSC have had a much larger number of applications and they are trying to even things out a bit. Who knows. It's all pot luck from what I can gather regarding whether your case will go through quickly or slowly :)

08-20-11......Package received at VSC, signed for by D. Reynaud.
08-24-11......Check cashed
08-26-11......NOA1 received, dated 8/22/11
08-10-11......Biometrics notification - appointment on 09-21-2011
09-21-11......Biometrics in Charleston, WV.
06-06-12......I-751 Approved AT LAST!!!
06-18-12......10 Year green card arrived.
Citizenship Journey
07-16-12......N400 Application mailed (Lewisville).
07-25-12......Check cashed and acceptance text received.
08-10-12......Biometrics in Charleston, WV.
09-01-12......Interview letter received.
10-05-12......Interview scheduled in Norfolk VA.

04-25-13......Oath Ceremony - Roanoke, VA - US Citizen at last!!

The exact same thing happened to a friend of mine. He was filling (and is still in the process) through a lawyer for a cr1 too. He asked the lawyer about it and the lawyer replied him with a congratulations and told him that his case will get approved a couple of months faster now.

So, it can be a good thing.

Feb. 17, 2009: first touch

May 01, 2009: Touch and NAO2 mailed...yeah hey!

May 08, 2009: NAO2 in the mail

NVC Journey

May 15, 2009: NVC case number

May 18, 2009: Gave email add to NVC

May 28, 2009: Received DS 3032 / I-864 Bill

June 1, 2009: Paid I-864 Bill

June 5, 2009: sent AOS stuff

June 29, 2009: sent DS 230

June 28 - Aug. 8: i spent time with my boys in the philippines

IN A BIG HUGE BLUR...OUR CASE WAS COMPLETED AUGUST 5, 2009 (AFTER RFE: HUSBAND'S ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE) AND MY HUSBANDS INTERVIEW WILL BE SEPTEMBER 25, 2009...WE HOPE AND PRAY WE GET IT!

I live in Kentucky and filed on February 19th and my file should have been sent to Vermont but was routed to California instead. I hope this is a good thing and will speed up the process a bit!!
