Current Status: Case Transfered to Another Office for Processing

On September 1, 2009, we transferred this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our PHILADELPHIA, PA location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action.

This is what it says for alfredo's green card. Does that mean that we are going to have an interview??????? I hope not.

If it was transfered to local office Philadelphia, PA, it means you will have an interview. I am sure you will have a Notice Letter for an interview which will probably held in October or November.

Btw, your case has been taking so long. I guess it depends on your luck. February 2009 filers including myself we are all done.

Well, I just got news on CRIS that my new permanent resident status has been registered, and that they had a "Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident".

So... do you get this before the interview? Or is this the welcome letter you're supposed to get after? I didn't see anything in the thread in regards to that, and I don't want to be too excited yet.

Kristina, I am so sorry for you two, it seems like they're making everything go at a snail's pace for you.

The good news is that things are moving, and maybe, just maybe, you will get a 10-year card.

You will receive an appointment letter soon. Hopefully the appointment won't be too far away.

Tania received her GC in the mail today. That's 10 calendar days after the interview/approval. Finally done with USCIS for about two years!

I did get it, yay! And sadly, it's the same photo as on my EAD. Which is shitty

Ah well, least of my worries. Now I'm finding it very difficult to find a job, considering the unemployment in my county is at 10%. That's about 20,000 people.
