AOS FILERS: MARCH 2009

I received our NOA for AOS, EAD & AP (all dated March 11) today. I sent them last March 3 (USPS), received on March 5, and check cashed on March 12 (Happy and sad at same time coz we are now $1,610 poorer).

I'm officially joining this group! finally have the money to send off our AOS.. getting sent in the morning wooohoooo!

Finally got the second copy of the tax transcripts I needed so sent off AOS on saturday (3/14)... went with fedex which I haven't even looked up the tracking number yet, hadn't even thought about it since shipping... but I think I just realized I threw the receipt away after entering it into my check register (oops).

I don't see this particular wait as being anything like the visa waiting game... sure we're waiting on processing to get to the next step of our lives, but in general the wait here isn't usually too long (for the work auth/travel stuff...), I don't see this particular phase as anywhere near the stress and torture of the visa part, we're not seperated during it. I know money might be a lot tighter though, so I guess if anyone's struggling financially this part of the wait might be absolutely critical (and as an added bonus the fees would make that even harder to deal with).

So all the "fast" stuff is done.. I guess now the real waiting begins...

03.04.09 - sent our 60+ page packet of documents! (I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131)

03.06.09 - packet of docs arrive at Chicago, IL USCIS

03.12.09 - checks cashed!

03.14.09 - NOAs received (I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131)

It seems that most 1st week of march AOS filers are receiving their NOA. I'm March 2nd week filer. I'm expecting NOA within the week.

your not alone..i cant check online too. maybe they(uscis) didnt update their website yet.

update:

i just received my biometric appointment and it will be this coming april 1.

How are you . Its been long time we have spoken to eachother. I am filing my AOS tomorow March 17th. How are the things with you?

Just a quick question..... Me & my husband just have a Joint Bank account, we have not yet added my name to the utility bills, is it necessary to do so along with having him to add my name in his health insurance at work. That will cut $300 from his pay stub every month whic we dont want.. But i dont wnat and RFE for this. Also did you snet your pictures along with the AOS packet or would you just take them for the Interview?

just give them what they need as what they're stated on their "initial requirement" in I-485 or AOS. those stuff like financial joint account, pictures, etc will be needed for the interview.

Pictures, and health insurance copy is not yet needed in your application. Those are evidences you would need for your interview.

We submitted ours on 3/13 all in one packet by USPS with certified mail and return receipt card.

N Now don't worry ..u not need to submit that proof. U will need when u guys will have AOS interview.
