You can apply for your social with your EAD not AP.

Oct. 16,2008----Medical exam

Dec. 15,2008---Interview Approved(Thanks GOD)

Dec. 22,2008---Visa Recieved( Thanks GOD

Jan 13, 2008----Arrive in Atlanta POE

January 15, 2009--Apply for SSN Number

Jan. 23, 2009---Married

March 2 2008----Received SSN card

March 14, 2009---Got Driver's License

AOS TIMELINE

Mar. 30, 2009: AOS/EAD/AP filled

April 7, 2009 - EAD,AP and AOS NOA notice date

April 10, 2009 - received NOA1 hardcopy for EAD,AP and AOS

April 13, 2009- received Biometrics appt scheduled April 25, 2009

April 14, 2009-Biometrics walk-in done!

April 14, 2009-Called USCIS for AP to be expedited.

April 16, 2009-AP approved YES!!

April 24, 2009-EAD Card Received!!

my EAD and AP both appeared online today, they were both approved yesterday and card production ordered for the EAD. :D Off to Disne Casting I go

Hi everyone and congratulations on all the approvals. It is really exciting to see so many cases moving forward!

My EAD finally appeared online this morning, and it says that the card has ben ordered.

I can finally look for a job, pfew. That's a relief.

It's so nice to see everybody's having some good news. As for me, I fin'ly see our EAD's status online and it says Card production ordered :dance: . Still nothing for the AP. GC is still pending at CSC. Still hoping for the best for all of us.

Question, can I start hunting for jobs now? :blush:

may 8.2009 called uscis for ead to be expedite they told me to call back next week ,too early too expedite

april 4.2009 bio appt notice received code 3(aprl 25.2009)

april 14.2009 went earlier walk in successfull

I-130 for CR-1/CR-2 Timeline:

Married in Guangzhou, China 12-2006.

05/03/07: I-130's for CR-1 and CR-2 mailed to CSC via USPS

06/23/07: NOA-1/I-797C's.

11/06/07: NOA-2’s were issued. CR-1/2 Abandoned, for K-3/4.

Fire your lawyer!

U know at this point i just want to have my ead ,i dont really need him anymore .But it's really outrageous that i had to find out all this by calling uscis my self

ya and u paid him, right?

we used lawyers too when we filed for my visa but they're disappointing so we filed w/out lawyers for our AOS, so far so good.

i guess, you'd be waiting for ur EAD from the date that it was sent to the right place w/ the right form. sorry to hear that. good luck!

Received the EAD yesterday, 5/7/2009. So almost exactly one week from the status change to "Card production ordered" to receiving the actual card.

Now we can get her SS# changed and hopefully get her a state issued ID card. I'm hoping SS# + EAD will be enough proof for the California DMV that she's here legally. Anyone know for sure?
