Yeah!!!!! I received my NOA1 last saturday April 04th!!!my applications were filed on APril 1st!!!!!! I received three letters,one for the AOS, the second for the employment autorization and the third one for the AP.... soooo happy!!!!

;) We should be receiving our NOA sometime this week...!!

So how long after the NOA issue date have you guys seen approximately that the EAD card usually arrives. My husband is really depressed about not being able to work and contribute. How are you guys dealing with it and how do you feel? It is really hard for him to deal with and me see him like this.

July 9,2008----NOA-2 Approved

Oct. 16,2008----Medical exam

Dec. 15,2008---Interview Approved(Thanks GOD)

Dec. 22,2008---Visa Recieved( Thanks GOD

Jan 13, 2008----Arrive in Atlanta POE

January 15, 2009--Apply for SSN Number

Jan. 23, 2009---Married

March 2 2008----Received SSN card

March 14, 2009---Got Driver's License

AOS TIMELINE

Mar. 30, 2009: AOS/EAD/AP filled

April 7, 2009 - EAD,AP and AOS NOA notice date

April 10, 2009 - received NOA1 hardcopy for EAD,AP and AOS

April 13, 2009- received Biometrics appt scheduled April 25, 2009

April 14, 2009-Biometrics walk-in done!

April 14, 2009-Called USCIS for AP to be expedited.

April 16, 2009-AP approved YES!!

April 24, 2009-EAD Card Received!!

Well when I came here I did it through JFK - NY and I received a temporary work authorization ( for 90 days). I got a job before those 90 days expired and I talked to the HR Manager and explained my situation. She told me not to worry and since I received the letter from USCIS, I showed it to her and it's in my file now.

05/15/08: Filed for K1

12/01/08: Interview Scheduled for 9:00 AM at US consulate Chennai

12/01/08: Approved at 11:30 AM

12/04/08: Got the passport with the VISA stamped :D

12/09/08: Got on the airlines and arrived at LAX at 6:15 PM POE took 4 mins

01/27/09: The big day - WEDDING

01/28/09: Applied for SSN

02/12/09: Got SSN in the mail

02/17/09: Got Marriage Certificate

AOS

02/28/09: Filed AP, AOS and EAD

03/13/09: NOA received (AP, AOS and EAD)

03/13/09: Biometrics appointment received

03/18/09: RFE mailed

03/25/09: Biometrics schedule - Done [dint take more than 10 mins including the wait time]

Got an RFE :dance:

My dad was not born in this country (but he is a USC). I didn't submit his naturalization paper and apparently, that is what they want. I got the notice today and sent out his naturalization paper today. Hopefully I don't get a second RFE!

Hi,

What do you mean when you say "Request to expedite AP" ?? You can just ask them to be faster ? lol

Does it work with the Work Permit?

destine : Yes it does work for the EAD but you need to have a valid reason to expedite your case, i have read that the 90 day wait is the must even before you book an infopass.

You can look up on VJ about it and you will find people following a procedure.

Howdy all. Just found out the seperate March filers for AOS here. Filed and got a biometrics appt. for the 22nd and got a letter today that the case was being transferred to California office. Was thinking about heading out to the local office today and see if we can get the biometrics done early. Will let all know how it went.
