Hi. I am petitioning for the CR1 for my wife. I paid the IV and AOS fees online 2 days ago, so they should clear anyday.

Once the cover receipts become available, I am all ready to go with my AOS application. But am still waiting for my wife to send over some original docs for the IV application, which should arrive in a week. Should I wait for my IV application to be completed before submitting my AOS, or should I go ahead and send in the AOS, then send in the IV papers later when ready. Does it make a difference?

Also, I haven't received the mailed packet with the IV bill from the NVC yet. NVC sent me an email with attachment that contained the invoice and instructions for the IV bill, so I paid the bill after receving the email. But I udnerstand the mailed packet will have an envelope for documents, which is supposed to be used to mail in the IV application. The NVC recommends using this envelope to send in the papers. But does it make a difference if I use a non-NVC envelope for the IV application? If the IV bill packet does not arrive by the time my IV application is ready to go, I don't want to sit around waiting for an envelope. But don't want to risk my original documents either by using a non-NVC envelope. Will the NVC care which envelope I use?

Any advise would be great. Thanks.

Go ahead and mail the AOS now don't wait. When the IV items arrive then mail those in. It doesn't matter if AOS and IV items are sent in separate envelope and non NVC envelope. Most people use priority mail or express mail envelope for speed and confirmation of delivery. Goodluck.

Well....Envelop does not make any difference...It is only the coversheet from the Payment Page u need to submit both of ur packets.

U can send the AOS packet at once the bill shows PAID.

From my experience, if u have a gap between sending AOS packet and DS 230 packet, u may hear an RFE in the AVR which sounds something like " Missing/Incomplete DS 230...." ...Don't panic, just gather all the papers and send it in whenever it is available to u.

Good Luck

Sonia
