Hello all, after much procrastination I am trying to get my K1 packet together and I have a few questions.

This is a great site and I'm getting alot of helpful information.

- I have all her G-325 info, but I'm unsure if it is neccessary to list her employment info if it is limited

and was paid under the table?(waitress). She's only 21 and her work history doesn't go back 5 years.

Do I need to list that she was a high school student for some of that period? She is currently a

part-time student and not working. Would you recommend listing "None" for work history?

- I recently heard of the changes from Homeland Security regarding the fiance visa and the delay it

has caused many people. I heard they are releasing a new I-129 form this month. Does anyone

know if it has been released yet? and if not, should I wait for this new form before submitting?

Thanks in advance for any input and/or tips regarding my journey.

Hi gp1,

First of all welcome to VisaJourney and the Vietnam side of the forums. Glad you found your way here. There is a ton of detailed info regarding the process through the US Consulate in HCMC.

1. When filling out the G-325A for my fiancee, we listed ALL of her employment (i.e. waitress, etc.) and listed gaps in between jobs as unemployed and/or student. Up to you what employment to list. Vietnam is a CASH society still and I haven't seen much documentation of income since I've been living/working here for the past year.

2. It looks like phong_mai has given you some details regarding the new I-129F, but I would definitely make sure your using the new form to ensure your complying with ALL the requirements of the new law.

Again welcome to the Vietnam side of things and best of luck to you and your fiancee.

Your choice to break it down from 2003-2006 (three years) as for what she has been doing student/waitressing/unemployment etc.

Very simple....

Thanks for all your input.

The only thing I was worried about was if I didn't list any employment (like student only) and they were able to do a background check and see that she has worked and it contradicted my application. I will probably list everything to be safe.

gp1,

Don't be safe. Be honest.

As in life, it applies the same way with visa petitions/applications as well: be honest 100% of the time. Lies will always catch up with you. Complete honesty in this process will give you peace of mind.
