How long does it take to get I-797 " approval notice " after biometrics?

Hi there,

I submit form I-765 after I 485 about a month later and I got biometrics letter for I 485 already .It'll be on Friday 6th March. But the problem is I didn't get a biometrics letter for I-765 (EAD) or the reciept yet and it's been 30 days since I submit . As far as I know EAD process is faster than Green card right?

Since I don't have the receipt number for I-765 yet Could it be possible asking the office to do the figerprint for both of them?

And how long does it take to get I797 Approval nocice after biometrics? coz I really need that form to request temporary evidence of my Permanent Residence Status at local office so I can renew my driver lisence.

NJ DMV give me a hard time renewing my DL, it's been 3 months since my DL expired, and I have to drive to school ,I'm afraid to drive coz don't wanna get any problem.

No, the EAD and AP are not necessarily faster than the green card. My wife received her green card first.

We were only required to provide the 797C for the AOS filing for Alla to receivce a drivers license. She had her drivers license before her green card also. Each state is different though, Vermont accepts the application of AOS as sufficient for a K-1 visa holder to receive a drivers license.
