Can I get a learners permit using only my EAD card?

hello to everyone here!!! My green card is approved good for 2 years (conditional green card) and I'm waiting for it to arrive in mail. I received the welcome letter 2 days ago and says there within 3 weeks i should have it. Well, it hasn't been three weeks but I just want to ask if I can apply for a learners permit with only my EAD card?

For those who might want to know why i still have my EAD card is because it arrived the same day during our AOS interview. When we got home from AOS we saw the EAD in the mail. It doesn't really matter whether i have it or not because I will have my green card soon. I just want to have a learners permit so I can drive around.

I used to have an international drivers license but as soon as I got approved I stopped driving because it's only good for visitors in the USA.

I need some advice here! Thanks!!! :)

Most states require a SSN too.

I would simply wait for green-card, this way if the DMV wants to set an expiration date it will be for 2 years not 1 year as the EAD has.

Also the EAD is invalidated by the approval of AOS, the green-card is employment authorization.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.
