i married a filipina who has 2 sons in the Philippines ages are 16 and 14 yrs old. we got married here in US 1 year ago and now we want to bring her sons over here. My questions are...

1. can i petition my stepsons since i am a USC ?

2. we are planning to move to other states, is this a problem while the petition is on the process?

3. how much income do i need to support the petition? can we combine our income together?

4. how long does the process be done ?

5. how much money do we need to pay for the application?

6. my stepsons were denied a visa before, is it true that it takes time to get visa once denied?

Anybody knows about all these pls help us we are so confused on what to do. Thank you!

4) probably a year

5) in addition to petition fees you will have $400 each, visa fee

6) depends on the reason for refusal

The stepfather (who is the USC) can petition the two kids. It's what I am going through these days. As a matter of fact the interview of the kids will be on the 23rd of March and I am going home to assist them. My husband filed the I-130 for both of them last June 13, 2008. They were approved by the USCIS last Dec. 17, 2008 and we are done at the NVC last January 27, 2009.

The fees are $355 for each of their I-130's, $400 each for their visa fees, $70 for the AOS (affidavit of support), one fee only for both of the kids if the petition is done at the same time. We will still pay for their medical at St. Lukes and their Peer Counseling.
