Hi Tini,

did your online status change when you got your IL?

I'm a NYC DO 'victim' :blink: with priority date 04/30/2009

Called 800# several times and was told I has not been put in the interview Q yet. :angry:

I just called USCIS and my interview is scheduled for July 23rd at 9:45. I haven't received the IL yet,as it was mailed on May 29. I'll post as soon I have it in hand. What a relief!! Yay!! :thumbs:

No, online status didn't change at all, not even a touch as some people reported. I wouldn't depend on that too much. My status has been the same: received and pending and a lot of people said that even after having taken the oath, their status is still the same, I know, it sucks:(

I'm sorry you're experiencing the usual NYC delay, it seems they're doing a little better now but I still had to wait 2 months and a half between sent date March 10 and June 1 (interview letter received). Some filers from earlier months waited more,so I'd give them another 2 weeks and call again, I'm sure they'll have scheduled you by then. It seems they're getting better and trying to stick to the 6 month overall processing time.

On the brighter side :star: , because of the large number of applicants, there are many more oath opportunities so instead of waiting a month or 2 to get your oath date, you're likely to get it in less than 3 weeks. Don't forget that depending on which borough you live in, you may get service even faster. I live in Brooklyn, it's the slowest of all. The Bronx is doing good though.

Came back from my InfoPass.

I went there to confirm my information was all good, so I could stop worrying.

Note,

USCIS field office in R.I., they don't hand out N-652, known as interview result paper.

So if an applicant passes the interview,he/she will be given an oath letter before leaving the office.

Hello,

congratulations on everybody who has already passed their interview!! Good luck to all who have them coming up this week!

My baby was due last Wednesday and still has not made her debut just yet, my interview is on Monday the 22nd, I hope she comes on time for me to go, I wonder what would happen if she came on that day. What do you guys think should I call them in advance or just hope for the best?! I mean it is unlikely, but my fingerprints were scheduled for the day of my babyshower what are the odds right?

Oh and Tini, so glad you finally got your letter!!

Hey Bianca,

Hope you'll be holding your baby very soon:) Since your due date is past, it can be any day now. It looks like it'll be difficult to keep that interview but at the same time you never know. IMO, you shouldn't de-schedule anything until she's here and you know exactly if you can go to the interview or not. Maybe you'll be able to get preferential treatment by explaining the situation when you're there? Also it seems easier to get personalized attention when you are assigned an IO and can talk to her/her directly VS. sending back the notice for a reschedule. Just my 2 cents.Hope everything will work out well!! Crossing my fingers for you:) and thanks for the congrats!!!

So I called USCIS today to ask if my interview letter had been issued and they told me that my "file was only requested by the local office on June 8th". I am not sure what that means?

Is this typical procedure for the file to be transferred and if so, how long of a wait am I looking at now that the file was just requested? I am not even sure if the file was actually requested on June 8th or sent to the on June 8th or what.

Any ideas?

guys, the end of my bittersweet :no: relationship with USCIS is in sight now as today I received my Oath letter \\

oath date=07/10/2009, Time of oath ceremony=11.45a.m, place=las vegas,NV

PLus I am adding 2 links for the scanned version of my Oath notice, if anybody wants to look at it.

Can somebody plz ! update my info on the timeline! I will highly appreciate it. Again best of wishes to everybody on this forum for their upcoming interviews !!!

So I called USCIS today to ask if my interview letter had been issued and they told me that my "file was only requested by the local office on June 8th". I am not sure what that means?

Is this typical procedure for the file to be transferred and if so, how long of a wait am I looking at now that the file was just requested? I am not even sure if the file was actually requested on June 8th or sent to the on June 8th or what.

Well the local office schedules the interview (by schedule i mean, they determine the date/time of the interview depending on how busy they are), if they request your file, it means things are moving along now for ya. Looking at your timeline i think u should have received your interview letter by now, but i guess your name/biometrics checks took a little longer than usual. Good thing is, it's being handed to your local DO. In my humble opinion you should receive a CFR notice (yellow letter) or interview letter in the coming weeks. I would call USCIS back in a week or so to check if you have been put in queue for interview.
