Also agree with the local district sort, but the problem with that is, even in big cities with lots of people applying for the N-400 like me (Miami) I can't even find ONE person online in the same local district office... It would be such a massive list..... To me, counterproductive. What I have done is found all the Miami, FL people in the last 5-6 months and PM'ed them all asking them which office they are at, to gather more data...... unfortunately, none of them are at the same office as I am...... Even in a huge city full of N-400 immigrant applicants...

good point too... but maybe we could give it a shot to see if people come on to contribute to make the lists worthwhile... dunno :unsure:

Congrats!!

Think I might be waiting for a long time, first time I regret living in NYC :crying:

Ok, thought I'd continue my daily ranting. LoL!! Just kidding :)

I called the customer service at USCIS today and must say I was surprised at how helpful they were for once. I remember talking to them several times;the hold was excruciating and the call useless.

I just asked what my status was because of course the online status thing doesn't get updated- huh?- and I am starting to worry about the wait. Not that I'm really late, I'm still within regular timeframe but I think I'm getting a little spoiled with the timelines becoming so short, lol!!

Very helpful lady (second degree supervisor) who said I was in queue for an interview slot. No major breakthrough but what a relief to actually be able to talk to a real person, voice your concern and be -somehow-reassured. Voila, just wanted to share this tidbit of info with you, somehow like another VJ'er put it "it takes the anguish out of the process"

I received my interview letter in the mail today, I am scheduled for June 22nd. I updated the list, unlike most of you I was hoping for a later date since my baby is due on June 10th, but I guess I will have to work that out somehow.

Good luck to everybody still waiting on their letter or their interview.

Yes!!! The interview letter finally arrived! Sooo happy...

maybe i should call them and see if they mailed anything to me... I know there is no order (although they claim so), but I and a couple others are approaching the 5-6th week and now that the timeline is filling out, I know it's not such a long wait.

Mailed N-400 March 6th via priority certified mail and Rec'd 9th (confirmation by USPS)

NOA rec'd: 3/19/2009 (date 3/16/2009, priority 3/9/2009)

Biometrics rec'd 3/26/2009, appt 4/9/2009

IL: 5/22/09

ID: 07/06/2009

Oath: 07/16/2009

SSN updated: 7/16/2009 (not received yet)

Passport rec'd: 8/15/2009(nat. certif not rec'd yet)

@ Bianca, a double congrats goes to you. Maybe you should keep your interview date and inform your IO, you may be able to do the whole process very quickly? Just a thought.

@Queendlee, yes definitely call, there's nothing to lose and hopefully you'll get some good news. Don't settle for the first customer service service person though, ask to speak to a higher level one so they can really locate where your file is at and give you an accurate status. Good Luck!

hey guys, congrats to everyone who`s got their interview letters already...and its really frustrating that couple of us still waiting on it..does it really help to call customer service to get an update...?

and i have a question to those who`s got their int. letters.... is your interview place where you got the biometric done or where you got interviewed for the grencards...?

Thanks, I will most definitely keep the interview date, hopefully they will work with getting me out of there quickly. Hope your letter comes soon too!
