It has been 2 days since I had done my F.P. but my case still not being updated..

so I finally got my fingerprint appointment today, too bad I am out of town for my babyshower that day (Saturday the 25th). I sent the letter back with a request to reschedule as they instructed me to do on the letter, I did make a copy. Now I am hearing that other people have went before the appointment. I think I will call the number tomorrow and see what they say, unfortunately I just have a copy of the letter now as I sent the original out already. Does anybody have any idea what they would say? I will post tomorrow when I hear what they tell me!

I don't think they will change anything, only time they will : is after the inteview to change the status from pending to Approval

U should Just wok to the place and they will take ur fingerprint any times. (next time u know) never send a letter to reschedules that will slow ur case. but I think u still can go for ur finger print. wednesday is slow day just wok in they will serve u.

she can try, but it is allways better to reschedule when she still has time to notify them,

Hey Bianca, Maybe you can try with the appt letter copy on a wednesday afternoon or saturday morning. I'm also re-posting this which I had put on another thread:

I'm happy a lot of you were able to make walk-ins but can tell you that it wouldn't have been possible at my Brooklyn, NY center. It was way too crowded and the space was small. They were sending back peple even if the appointment was 2hrs later. No way you would've made it in if you did not have an appt letter for that day. So, it really depends on the center. It's definitely worth the try. Not that it would get things done faster but just to get it over with.

I had my appointment this morning (Saturday). Half an hour early, the place was almost deserted, and I went on in as soon as I had filled out the form.

A lady who arrived before me tried to do a "walk in" but they wouldn't let her. She said they were only doing appointments.

I have heard that Wednesday afternoons is the time to do walk-ins for my local office.

Another lady I know drove to Atlanta hoping to do a walk-in on a Saturday morning, and she was able to.

Thanks everybody for your ideas and thoughts. I was unable to reach anybody today, will try to call the local office (San Francisco) on Monday and ask if I can come on Wednesday. Otherwise. I will just wait for my new appointment letter. I have lived here for 12 years, honestly, if I lose 2 weeks before getting the citizenship It won't be the end of the world. Thanks again.

Thanks everybody for your ideas and thoughts. I was unable to reach anybody today, will try to call the local office (San Francisco) on Monday and ask if I can come on Wednesday. Otherwise. I will just wait for my new appointment letter. I have lived here for 12 years, honestly, if I lose 2 weeks before getting the citizenship It won't be the end of the world. Thanks again.
