oh wow! i've been busy too. went to SSS and have my status changed to married. i have to go back in two weeks, they're doing background checks again.

i'm not sure if i should go ahead with the NSO papers (BirthCert, Marraige Cert, Certificate of Marriage) because I was told it takes them 6 months to come out with the Certified Marriage Cert and it's only 2 months now. Hummm... i'll probably make this my last stop.

Going to get NBI Clearance on of these days. I just hate to get all these docs and have them expire on me. You know how it is here, they expire after 6 months and you have to go pay again to get new copies.

I still haven't changed my passport yet, parents booked me a flight using my maiden name, I haven't checked on what to do with that yet.

Don't forget to bring water to DFA, I heard there's a long waiting line and with all the summer heat... you don't want to get a heat stroke.

Hi Tngirl, are u sure that Certified Marriage Cert will takes 6months for us to get or it depends?I was informed by the Phil. Embassy here in Singapore that our certificate of Marriage was avail 2months ago and it took them two weeks to update my identity there. Do you think i can update all my papers within two weeks? NBI, Drivers License etc..etc..I'm planning to go home and update all my papers but I don't know where to start :( Although my passport has been updated by the Embassy here but color is still green.i want the machine readable passport

try to go to the NSO office if you have a friend who works their coz our marriage certificate i got it in less than a week

Yap, there's always a long queue in DFA..bring water, fan and just commute..don't bring car.

Hi! I have no idea. Some got it in lesser time but the Quezon Cityhall told me it will take them 6 months. I suppose this depends on how many people got married since they send it per batch. I met some people in the CFO seminar who got theirs in less than 2 weeks. Tomuts here got theirs in 2 months. I suppose it depends on how lucky one is. YOu can also check out the NSO website, they can deliver the papers to your house.. even abroad. You just pay a higher price. As for NBI, if you have an old NBI, I think it will be faster. Drivers License.. not so sure since I don't have one. SSS though you have to go there file petition, then wait for two weeks for them to do background before they take your picture.. the ID will be delivered after 2-3weeks. Machine readable passport, I think you can have it in less than two weeks... but this too will be delivered by courier.

You might want to extend to three weeks just to be sure.

Thank you Paris, tngrl, and all the rest of my March Filers Family. Yes, we are good people and God will not allow us to be away for so long from our love ones.

Yes, i know it will take time, but nobody had predicted the agony of waiting! its really so disappointing to wait for this long! What more for those who filed ahead of us?

Plus this is the time when Hubby and I do not talk too much coz its his bz time in the race track! Well, he has to work for all the expenses! hahaha! Im just helping him in a little way possible. Im just being patient and understanding all the time.

I hope the USCIS will make us a priority because our purpose is just to be with our love ones. I am a very sentimental person and this thing gets through me right at the core!

Why do we have to be sad at night? when all you want to be with is your husband? that you just want to feel him beside you all the time? that you just want to smell his perfume? that you just want his arms around you?

I could not help but cry while writing this, my tears keep falling from my eyes. The agony of waiting is just to much to bear sometimes!

Good thing God is always with me. He is my strength. He gives me hope.

Thank you Beth for being so supportive. Pls do not mind that person who PM you. He is not happy with life so he wants you to be like him.

He is all wrong. Let him be mesirable.

Random thought, I am really glad my mom moved from the Philippines to Canada. If I had to immigrate from the Philippines I'd probably shoot myself. It seems like way too much to do. Like..seminars and stuff. >_<

Yeah, well... we're not yet centralized so we have to go to one government agency to another to complete it.

Yesterday, when I saw TNgirl post I'm wondering if i made a right decision that my interview (hoping) is in Philippines. I'm a resident here in Singapore and all my documents were updated.

I choose Philippines as when i tried to get US tourist visa here in Singapore I was denied, i don't know exactly the reason why the consule denied my visa with the following questions that he asked me..what is your intention in going to US? (visit my fiance), how old is your fiance?(24yrs. old), what places you've been ?(Malaysia, Indonesia,Thailand,Macau, HK etc..etc )how old are you? (23yrs. old going 24) then he paused and commented that "oh! same age..so young" then he just gave me back my passport and he told me "sorry your visa is denied". The lawyer who advice us told my fiance that I should not informed the consule that I'm going to visit him my fiance as they may think that I'm not going back to Singapore which is not true as I just renewed my contract in my company that week. I don't want this time that my visa will be deny again.I'm thinking that if my interview is in Phil my chances are higher to pass rather than here in Singapore.

Good morning March filers. Well , I'm debating on calling USCIS today, I last called Friday afternoon. No changes on On Line Case status, no NOA 2 in mailbox, and no emails.

Should I call?, or wait till tomorrow??? Been 40 days since NOA 1 now.

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

Morning Courtney, your probely right, but since CSC is 2 hours behind me, I thought I would call this afternoon, around 3pm their time. I dont know anymore, I wonder if something is wrong, all the bad thoughts enter the mind in waiting, LOL

Its been on a desk for 7 days now, but the real quetion is, Has it been touched by them?? Another mystery, yes, I will call but late afternoon. Im starting to get inpatient. But one good thing, we are totally ready for NVC have all docs that are needed!!! , so that is a good thing.

Don't think bad thoughts. You of everyone know how long it can take to process a case. I am with you on the impatience but fighting the urge to call myself. They need at least 20 days to get a case from the mail room ;)

I know you log into the uscis every chance you get and you know how reliable touches are, even if your getting them it could be because you called and someone scanned the case when they were told to look and check.

You wont be delayed in NVC inshallah.

I have a question though, I know the K visas K1/K3 they are selecting 1 of every 5 (20%) for additional processing, are they also doing this with the CR1 visas or NO????? thats what I am more worried about than anything.
