thanks tomuts and paris heart for the info.

i'm so worried why we haven't received our NOA1 yet. darn! everybody here seems to have received theirs a day or two after the money was taken out of their banks. ours is just taking so long. my hubby says there's a big chance our file went to Vermont, he lives in Tennessee. I've heard stories that K1 visas goes faster but I've met a couple of people from one of the seminars here (commission on filipino overseas) and they got their k3 visas in less than 6 months. BUT theirs went through CSC.

my hubby just called his neighbor, still nothing in the mail. :((

Many petitions "like mine" should of gone to Vermont, but went to California instead. I hope your goes to California also.

WHOO HOO!!!!! Thank you tomuts for telling me how to get that number from the check that we sent to the USCIS.

I was able to check the status of my application and it said they received our Form I130 last March 13, 2009 and sent us the notification already (I assume this is the NOA1) although we haven't actually received it. They also said that our application went to CSC!!! OMG!! I'm so happy! After reading so much BS about how slow Vermont is in processing all those K3 visa.

Now, the thing is.. my hubby and I were discussing whether to just wait for the IR1 and not file the k3 anymore... or to go ahead and file both. Do you guys have any idea, comments or suggestions?

I've read and Tomuts have told me that they have the same processing time. Can we really believe this? Or is it safer to just file both and go from there?

thank you!

Stick with IR-1 Dont file for K3. IR-1 is the better visa. Besides as I was told last night, filing a I-129F for a K3 will push your current petition back on bottom of the pile as they pair up the 2 petitions. "Dont do it" as I was told. Your better off with what you filed for already. Congrats for being at CSC.

CR/IR-1 FOR THE WIN. This is the best VISA. It's more cost efficient and it lets you work pretty much as soon as you enter the USA. I can't imagine entering the USA on a K-3, then having to pay an extra $1010 for AOS. It's just, too much paperwork. :P! And my husband is anti paperwork, so yeah. And I had one entry, March 19th, when they received and input it into the system. :X

CR/IR-1 FOR THE WIN. This is the best VISA. It's more cost efficient and it lets you work pretty much as soon as you enter the USA. Hi Paris Heart and Ber + Ter, thank you for the info.... I do have one question though... I'm so sorry for being so bothersome. haha. i just want to know... coz I see that your beneficiaries are coming from Canada and France, will my application be treated differently if i'm coming from the Philippines?? I've seen a website where they count pending visa application and boy our country has the most number out of so many countries on the list. My husband and i are afraid that because of this, they may slow down the process of getting a CR1 for me, and it may take us two years.

Any ideas? Guesses? God! waiting for this paper is awefully stressful!! And we haven't even started yet! :crying:

translation :

that link answer about the translation

Good Luck

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3195.html

I'm confused, if my husband interview in France, the docs to NVC and Embassy can be in English & French?

French I mean, birth cert. Police certs. Now my docs are in English, divorce decree, birth cert. our marriage license all in English. So I dont have to translate those.

the us citizen documents doesnt neet any translations

all translations are the beneficiary package DS-230 if rather than english

ppl are confused about to translate or not ..and im asking `` does translating harm`` ????

no its not

so why ppl just dont translate so in case its needed so they have it ..if not ..LATER in the us it will be needed no doubt

i hope that satisfy the Questions

i have my packet ready except for forms that are to be downloaded on those i think u have to wait because there is barcode you will produce with your nvc number

YEAP!!!! Now that part stumps me, especially when I read you have to size it to a certain size. How in the world do you do that????

I will need help on that, gosh Im dumb as a rock when it comes to computers.

BARCODE is printed directly from the link u use when paying ..

when u pay whatever the DS-230 of the AOS ...u have a barcode generate ..u need to print it and this is it

you ONLY need to generate or make one for the DS-3023 ...but i prefer we send it via Email and wait it on MAIL (friend of mnie got it on mail and there the barcode printed already from NVC )
