Hello! I'm new here!

Just wanted to join in the discussion and wait for my k3 visa with everybody here.

My hubby filed our I-130 last March 7, 2009 and our check was cashed last March 16, 2009.

Unfortunately, we still don't have our NOA1 is this normal? He called either NVC or USCIS (can't remember which one) and they told him to wait for a month or four weeks for it, if he hasn't received it by then, then he can call again. They won't entertain him.

Welcome, you can get your NOA 1 receipt number off the back of your check that was cashed . then you can trace progress on line with USCIS Case Status.

The receipt number begins with WAC or EAS then followed by 10 digits.

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

Thank you.

I've read that somewhere here too. BUT my hubby drives a truck, he can't go home soon. We only asked his neighbor to check his mail everyday. What kind of envelope did you get anyway for the NOA1? I just thought that maybe it is already in our mailbox but the neighbor didn't notice the mail coz it doesn't have any mark on it. What do you think??

I'm going crazy here! I want to be with my hubby already. :crying:

anyhoo, can i ask another question? It said somewhere that the processing time is 6 months. When does that start? From the time they received the Form I130? From the time they took the money? From the time we get our NOA1? From the time we send our I 129? From the time we get our NOA2? I'm getting confused already... really. They're not very specific with these things. My interpretation of it is that 6 months from the time they receive the I130 till the visa comes out. My hubby says it's from the time we get the NOA2.

Wonder if anybody here knows...

thanks tomuts and paris heart for the info.

i'm so worried why we haven't received our NOA1 yet. darn! everybody here seems to have received theirs a day or two after the money was taken out of their banks. ours is just taking so long. my hubby says there's a big chance our file went to Vermont, he lives in Tennessee. I've heard stories that K1 visas goes faster but I've met a couple of people from one of the seminars here (commission on filipino overseas) and they got their k3 visas in less than 6 months. BUT theirs went through CSC.

my hubby just called his neighbor, still nothing in the mail. :((

no touches here just the one on the 16th

No worries, truly a touch means nothing, you can get a approval without one single touch. But still, nice to see a touch.

Gotta run, got a class, plan to beat stuffing out of punching bag!
