Any tips on what is good to start getting prepared?

YES!! Start reading about the NVC go to WIKI "above" and click on NVC. Start downloading forms, that the beneficiary will have to sign, such as the DS-3032 form and the DS-230 forms Part 1 is all is signed for now. part 2 signed at embassy at the time of interview.

Down load also I-864 form. and start looking into getting the police cert and birth cert of beneficiary.

Also if any party was married before, need cert. copies of Final divorce decrees or death cert.if that is the case.

Beneficary need to filer 2008 taxes, cause 2008 tax return is needed. Lots and Lots to do.

Good luck.

Hi again everyone,

Sorry for questions that may seem simple to you, or you've answered before for other people, but I got home and noticed the NOA1 is from California. (Vermont is geographically my center) Anyway, does this make a difference, for the better? Or worse? Or no difference, based on trends? THanks!

Whenever you guys get sick of my newbie questions, just let me know! What's the average length of time between NOA1 and NOA1 out of California these days? Thanks so much. I really appreciate all the answers.

From what I've seen the Feburary CSC filers have already many of them got NOA 2. So Im giving it till mid May. But I think it will come sooner.

So say 30 to 60 days I would say. Okay you hit your limit on questions today!!! Just kidding.:rofl:
