Good morning. :)

Haa, Mariel, my roots hail from the Philippines and I was just there for a short visit in May. I was in Sorsogon (: Visiting my lolaa~

really?? Sorsogon is in Camarines Norte right? my Dad's family is from Dait Camarines Norte...but never been there...are you pure filipino?

Um, I think it's in the Bicol Region. I'm not pure. My dad, who is the Canadian sponsored my mom to Canada back in the 80's. It's kind of silly how this is all happening. My mom went to Canada for her husband and now I'm going to the USA for mine. xD

We haven't at all, what should we do?!

Since you're almost done, tell me~~

Start by pullin the forms for the NVC: Go to the NVC guide, read, start making lists, cause you will AGAIN need docs. this time Originals/Certified copies:

Marriage Cert

Birth Certificate, Petitoners and Beneficiarys

Divorce Decree if ither one married before.

Police certificates "sometimes these can take a while to obtain" so start looking into it now.

DS-230 Form

I-864 form Part 1 & Part 2

DS-3032 form

Start reading about the embassy where interview will take place, it gives great info.

Also great time to start gathering or even adding to your evidence of a bona fide marriage for interview. Chat logs, cards, letters, phone bills, etc.

Life Insurance polcies, joint checking , credit cards, I put all mine in seprate folders for easy access for interviewer. And add to them all the time such as emails, and monthly phone bills.

Now all docs NOT issued into English need to be translated into English, time to start looking for a Certified translator.

I will add more later, and sure others will add to my list, but this will get you started for now. More to come.

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

I have also decated one photo album of us together on my 4 trips to Paris, with a attached DVD of our videos in Paris, our Wedding Announcement, along with Post card of Paris he has give me and he wrote on them. "I collect them" and prefer them then a Hallmark Card, LOL , A pressed Rose from Valentines 2008 bouquet with the ribbon and the card sent with the flowers he sent me, silly stuff, that sometimes means so much to the Embassy at time of the interview, which I will attend with him.

Well, since my husband is in the military, I have tons of letters that he has sent to me. Should I get back all the letters I sent him for the interview? As well, I have a receipt and a photo of a flower arrangement he purchased for me, just because he can. And we have a wedding DVD. And we have pictures from all trips, and 123 wedding photos and what not. :)

The DS-230 Form and the DS-3032 form is to be filled out by the immigrant?

Oh nvm sorry XD This whole thing is a rush.

Yes all that is great evidence> Remember pictures also. For the NVC guide, go to WIKI top of Home page, and click on it, scroll down to short cuts to NVC. One good things is to have evidence all orderly, easier for the C/O to go thru.

The forms for NVC you can print here on VJ also, under example forms. For the DVS they most likely will not watch, but have ready anyways. I will have my honeymoon one, cause it proves we were together for the honeymoon, due to our proxy marriage. Long Story. Also any recipts for gifts bought for each other is good.

But now you can order certified copies of Petitioners birth cert, and get a copy of wedding cert. Certified copy. Start getting tax transcrpts in order for past 3 years "Petitioners" I mean. You can order them from the IRS website, no charge. I dont mean to over load you, but its best to start preparing bit by bit then a week before NVC or the interview.

Truly happy!!!

I'm probably going to have to get my own birth certificate because I lost mine...and the only one I have is this small wallet sized one that you can request from the provincial government. I'll get that tomorrow. Um, what is with men and paperwork?! We're working together on this thing because he'd be lost without me. He is anti paperwork. It's kind of silly but somethings you just don't grow out of. I'll contact his mom about the wedding certificate and my husband's birth certificate. :)

Hm, for the DS-3032 form, it seems that the one listed on VJ expired in 12/31/2006. And on the USCIS website, I am unable to find the form as well. Where else would it be?
