Felicitations, cherie!!!!

FYI, I have never been nor ever will be any good at the accents on a keyboard.

But that is great news, La Souris...it's a rush, eh? Good luck with the rest of the process, it's really fast from this point....

And yes, lucky you that you already live in Montreal not just because of the consolate but it is an amazing city -- i lived there for so long and it is my favourite city in Canada. I'm only in TO though, so no big deal for me to get there.

Good luck, La Souris... that is good news.

:)

See March-filing friends, they're working on it, soon we'll all be racing through the NVC...

Best of luck to everyone.

LGG

:)

Congrats La Souris! :)

And I'm envious. You live in Montreal. XD

Are you envious because I'll be close by for the interview, or just because Montreal is so much fun? :P Are you in Ontario?

I'm actually from Nova Scotia, but I live in Calgary now. So it's going to cost me around $300-500 to get there twice. But I'm going to try and get a really cheap trip to Ottawa and then hitch a ride with my friend to Montreal. But I think it's more expensive to go to Ottawa...Oh, it's going to be such a pain in the @ss. :(

But I've been to Montreal several times, I loved it! The city and the architecture is so fantastic. But yes, you're lucky because the consulate in question is so close to home.

Merci to all of you! (... and I do love Montreal too... it's really an "easy" city - easy to find good food, easy to live (not too $$$, low crime...)) Oh well, Boston is close enough to visit often :P (and I have good memories of most of the places I've been in Canada... many restaurants where I would eat again too - I think I'm getting hungry now!)

So ! I just spoke to this nice lady at CSC .According to her , my case was assigned to an officer yesterday and it would take 30 days before a decision can be taken .

Any idea, if it really takes 30 day's or it can be done sooner too ?

Thanks all .

Minimum 2 weeks before you hear anything!!!

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

Definetely can be earlier.

We got assigned April 15 and got approved April 30.

It really just depends on luck and how fast the officer works on your papers.

Congratulations.. that's a baby step towards approval.

It really depends on what kind of evidence they are asking. What's the RFE for?

I would suggest to just send it out as early as you can, just in case they need lots of time to look into it.

But Paris was told it will take 60days to resolve an RFE. Am I right, beth?

APPROVED!!!! Just received notice by email!!!! NOA2 July 31, 2009

Congratulations!!!!!

Random question at midnight.

Does NVC want all the originals for the I-864 package? And if they have originals, then I'll have photocopies at the interview. Is this how it works or is it, photocopies for NVC and originals for me? o_O

Thanks. And hope everyone is having a great night :D

Hi Ber,

NVC wants the originals I-864. For W2s, tax returns & pay stubs, photocopies docs would be enough and keep the originals with you.

Good luck!!!

Hopefully soon Cristian. It's been 3 weeks since approval for some of us and no word from NVC of late. @_@

And lilies, so they want the original I-864 form, but for the tax transcripts send photocopies? Okay. Great. We're sending the I-864, 3 years tax transcripts, a year's worth of paystubs (just in casee!) and a letter of employment. =)

Yes, I noticed that tax transcripts from IRS are also an ordinary black-white print out docs, so there would be no difference between the original or the photocopies. The embassy returned 2006 & 2007 tax transcripts and keep 2008 tax transcript/copy of W2 & tax return. Hope that helps :)

Good luck!!!

Awesome!! We got our I-130 approved last night!

So what now? When do we hear from the NVC?

Thanks guys!

Just call everyday, until the AVR says a case number is already assigned to you.

Might take a week or longer, depending on backlog.

Congrats!!!

Let's hear more approvals!
