Not to sound rude, but why would the 2009 tax year be over? I mean, it's not over yet. ._.;

We have tax transcripts for 2008, 2007 and 2006 but we still have to do the I-864 since he did not make 100% above poverty nor 125%. He got into a really bad car accident. Thank god he lived.

He's making it now and that is what matters. Plus once I'm down there, he'll start getting paid for dependents so it's not the issue.

But yeah, I think I'm so confused. I've ended up doing like 90% of this process by myself because he hates paperwork.

And great job on the excel, it looks so pretty and colourful!

oh ######! hahaha... i'm way too sleepy and shouldn't be typing anymore.

Sorry, wrong info... i meant 2008, 2007, 2006.

If he has paychecks now that when summed up annually will meet the poverty guideline, send in his latest paycheck and employment letter.

I heard that some got away with that even if they didn't meet the poverty level. I don't know how many percentage of success though.

Worth the try. Easier to frontload on the documents than worry about RFEs.

Again, sorry.. i'm sleepy. I should quit VJing tonight. haha. :bonk:

Wake up sleepy head!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! check your PM and I got a touch yesterday from calling, BUT I just got another touch now!!!!!!!!!!!

WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE YOU!!!!Now go back to sleep LOL

WOW PARIS!! That is great! I wish my husband wouldn't hate calling as much so we can know something. He won't call until the 5 monhts! He says he only does it to please me. I want him to call!!

Hi Sunflower,

thank you and all I can do right now to help you and everybody waiting for the approval is by praying.

Just to share something, my husband did not call USCIS all the time. i guess he was becoming impatient when the receiver would say " Still no change"! LOL! We never got a touch, even once so I was worried. Just wait a while longer. Soon you will have yours, and also Paris and everybody. And then we will be happily united with our respective spouses and never will part forever.

Keep the faith! God is good!

Hi Steve and Nor.. THanks for your advice! I am hanging in there.. I just hope I can be there by the end of the year... Christmas or New Year's. But I am super happy for you two!!!

Ber+Ter, don't worry you're not alone... my husband had a hell of a time doing the I-864. Some of the questions could've been phrased easier... don't know why they bother with the superfulous words. It was almost the same with DS230... haha. That's government at work for all of us.

Sunflower15, time to start dialing that phone number!!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Hey!!! August 4th is Tomuts' wife's interview. That's on MOnday night for people in US and Canada... and it's Tuesday morning in the Philippines.

Please continue to pray for them. I think they are one of the first August interviewee. Let's pour all of our good vibes to them from this day onwards.

Hey LGG! Sorry for the delay....Well, its been a 1month delay on our visa process due to some dramas and trials in between the process.

Aside from my husband's AOS RFE, we are doing good now. 2008 ITR was zero because he was deployed during that time, we forgot to write a written explanation why? Hoping to hear good news by this week. (hoping this is the last RFE)

Hey Paris, I miss you too! Hope things are going your way now.....

Lets all pray for a non-stop approval for March Filers!

OH BTW, CONGRATULATIONS to Lilies for a visa approval!!!!!

OH blech...

Sorry to hear that our stuff, AOS is at NVC right now and I'm sending off our IV stuff tomorrow, which is damn exciting to me! I'm glad it was something 'trivial' like what you mentioned, I'd worried that you were having bad troubles.

This stuff is workable.

Good luck to you guys...

Um, going over the I-1864, we ended up getting a household size of 3.

21. Persons you are sponsoring in this affidavit:

a. Enter the number you entered on line 10.

So thats a 1.

Persons NOT sponsored in this affidavit:

b. Yourself. 1

c. If you are currently married, enter "1" for your spouse.

Do we count this one too? So confused. x_x

Ber+Ter,

I have not looked to the end of the thread here. but I saw your confusion which spinned my head so much over the last weekend that i had to call NVC first thing.

In line 10, no matter which form you use,( 864 EZ or 864) enter 1

Then in Question 21. a enter 1

Again, Persons not sponsored on this AOS,

Q. 21.b yourself ........................Enter 1

Q. 21.c if you are currently married , Please enter Nothing here.

that will come out to be the right size of the family

Explainations and this is from the Instruction on the form:

This section asks you to add together the number of personsfor whom you are financially responsible. Some of thesepersons may not be residing with you. Make sure you do notcount any individual more than once, since in some cases thesame person could fit into two categories. For example, yourspouse (whom you would enter on line 21c) might also be alawful permanent resident whom you have already sponsoredusing Form I-864 (line 21f). If you included your spouse online 21c, do not include him or her again on line 21f.

Basic rule, the NVC operator explained to me , was Do not count anyone Twice. Since you already coundted your spouse in 10 and 21.a , leave the box in 21.c blank.

If you have foudn the answer by now, disregard. If not , i Hope this helps. :)
