ANd yepper, this is the way to do it, just enter your USCIS case number until the Automatic voice system says that you've been entered and gives you your NVC case number. Don't be scared if they say file not received, it does that for the first bit... .

COngrats and Woohoo and I am thrilled to see us moving along.

:)

LGG SAYS.

Call 603 334 0700 and follow the prompts and use your USCIS number. For awhile, it'll tell you the file has not been received. Once it has, go to a live operator and give him/her your and your husband's email address and then you'll just wait for them to generate your DS 3020 and the AOS bill. Start getting all the package stuff ready now and go over everything again and again!

Check out that link too Mrs. Simps!

Now to call them everyday to harass them. >D

That's rocking TNgirl...

and we can also walk each other through the steps and minor queries and whatever. I had a pile last night as we were finalizing the AOS package. I'm wondering about 3 things that that could cause us an RFE...

1. My name, used my married name though the USCIS docs are all done in my maiden name. In the other names used portion, clarified this and where it asked for my name i always wrote both so... dunno.

2. My husbands employment letter. He's called a 'professional' on that and on his tax returns but in the boxes we wrote what he's actually a professional it. If that makes sense.

3. The copies of the tax returns. Not signed but they have all his w2s and 1040s so... also, last year, the that I'm declared on as his wife as we had to get an ITIN number, not signed. All the signed versions got sent to the IRS, obviously.

So... we'll see. None of this stuff is hard to fix if ti does come up. But from what I see? it's a pretty impressive package and well, we'll see what they'll be picky about.

See????? I need you guys for stuff nad well, you'll need me for stuff when it's time too!

Best,

LGG

what times can i call NVC for my visa number? thanks

AVR is 24/7, wait for 3-10 days for your NVC number in the AVR, afterwards you can get an operator

and tell them your email addresses.

Good luck!! Hope you are prepared with your NVC papers so you will now fly through.

As I've told LGG, I hope we can all get this immigration thing over with so we can at least

have a virtual US homecoming party!!:dance::dance:

I called every day... :)

Thing is, they have an automated system, so listen to the message first, it'll tell you if your file's been updated. If by mid-next week it hasn't, then speak to an operator -- they are far my useful than the USCIS.

Once the AVR has changed with your NVC number, connect to an operator and tell him/her your adn your husbands email addresses and they'll send you your forms and bills that way.

Good luck, you should have a number in a bout a week-ish...

Best,

LGG

No, I haven't tried calling yet. I'm waiting a little then I'll call this monday. I don't think NVC is open on the weekends. BUT. The husband is taking me to see the 6th Harry Potter today. And he leaves on Tuesday..but it's great that we got approved while he was here, so we could dicuss everything.

I just hope the interview, won't be scary, we're practically the same age, but only like 20, 21 ):

But they should be happy that Im doing it the legal way.

A few people I know, have gone down at 18, and adjusted.

Crazy, crazy,

And I pray that you all get your approvals soon <3
