our touch was from calling on the 25th. i just called right now and they said the case has been assigned to an officer today. it is the 29th now. but when i called last week they said its been with an officer since june 10h. now i asked him why did they say it was with an officer since the 10th and now you are saying its with one today? he said that it may have been reassigned to some other officer. he says it usually takes around two weeks to a month for an officer to make a decision. so now another two weeks to 30 days of checking the mailbox for nothing. i hope everyone gets their approval soon. i hate all this beuracratic stuff. :ranting:

I know it just goes on and on. Today I feel like Im on pins and needles. But I think I will know something tomorrow. Its tortue, pure torture.

I would go by that your case was assigned June 10th, so give it till July 10th then call. But I bet you hear before then for a approval.

Truly happy!!!

HAPPY CANADA DAY =)

I went to the US last year to spend it with my husband, and I remember the lady on the plane.

"HAPPY CANADA DAY! Now let's celebrate by going to the US!''

It was a giant hoot.

I hope for many approvals this week, including my own.

We're going to call this Monday, when my husband is here.

Can't wait. <3

Any March filers, I just sent our I-130 petition out!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im soooooo happy!!! Taken us 8 months to re-file, but we did it!!!!!!

Good luck all waiting for their loved ones to join them.

Paris Heart

I sent mine out on March 23 ,2009 and got my NOA1 on March 29th. Still waiting for my NOA2. Does anyone know why it is taking so long and others are faster? Does the waiting period depend on which country you're petition for? I will call them tomorrow and find out if my I130 got touch yet. GL to all.

Luck plays a big part. Not sure about country specific... it's possible but more likely not.

Just mostly pure luck.

Call them, maybe you already got approved and does not know.

finally got a verification from Guangzhou Consulate..

email reply from them.. I left the grammar and spelling mistakes intact for all of you to see =0

as you can see, there are still lots of questions..

1) how long does it take to remove from the system?? 5 minutes?? They were talking about "removing" it since last Thursday..

2) "it is still currently under review".. what other things are they looking at?? I'm just going to "complain" to him again, haha..

3) "further information".. she wasn't given anything in the first place.. had I not complained , she would be receiving the I-601 waiver now.. I don't think so..

==========================

Dear Mr. XXXXXXXXX,

Thank you for your email. Please be advised that we have recently hear

from the Department of Homeland Security office that she does not

need a waiver. Her application is currently under review. We will

contact her if further information is required. Once the review is

completed, we will immediately inform her of the result.

Hopefully, we will be able to contact her soon. We appreciate your

patience and understanding at this moment. You are welcome to inquire

at a later time.

Oh that is because i was not a citizen when i got engaged (august 08)... i was only a (lowly) permanent resident (who doesnt deserve to have a family :P)... I was not eligible for K1 or K3...

Got married in Jan 2009...

I filed my CR1 on March 19th, 2009 while still a permanent resident (i was always eligible for CR1 after i got married.. but it would only take 5 years to unite with my wife) ....

and after having gone through hell for my citizenship I finally got it on April 9th, 2009... so my effective date of NOA1 is really April 9th, 2009.. sorry i should have clarified that before!!

The touch was probley from the call, it usually produces a touch after calling. 5 months to process, that is crazy, as we all know they dont process in order of receipt. Hang in there Hon, its all we can do. Best wishes, I hope soon you have good news.

Truly happy!!!
