i have seen April filers get NOA2... eh? what's up with that?

April filer here. As Paris Heart knows.

The only ones we've had approved are military expedites and a DCF. We're just waiting for you guys to get a move on. Humbug.

I'm happy for all the K-1 filers who are being approved, but I wish they'd start looking at the immigrant visas again, too...

Seems like the family petitions always take a back seat, if not work visas, its some other kind of BS visa, K1 usually do move faster less ####### to go thru so they say. Family petitions take more work, marriage cert, CHECK, Wedding Pics, Check Maybe a affadavit or two. CHECK,

Hum not much more the K1 filers. And some countries seen to get approved faster then others, but that another messing conservation.

Truly happy!!!

I don't know, isn't the normal delay 6 months and we're now at 3 (April-May-June)? I understand the wait is hard, it's hard for me too, but really, I don't feel "mistreated" by society

Hello La Souris!

The waiting part sucks but I don't feel mistreated either, just anxious and excited about being with my husband and family! You know what does my head in? The not being able to find out information, as for all the other stuff we had to apply for, wait for and stuff, I could babysit from Canada and call and check on our status and such, it calmed me. I get stressed when I can't ask or find out what's going on. That's my big beef.

I don't feel mistreated at all -- I'm confused about how they do their jobs and how some people get approved way before others but all in all, if I get to the place in my head that says, it'll come, calm down I'm totally fine. Unfortunately for me, that place usually involves me researching and finding out information about my case/file, etc... que sera, sera, n'est ce pas?

blah, blah, blah...

Hope you're doing well with you case...

When you've been down this road for 6 months, and then withdrew petitions, and stated over again several months later.

When you wait for USCIS to process your case 30 days AFTER they receive your evidence for a RFE which is longer then it took some filers to be approved. When you send in your petition perfectly marked and organized, and they RFE you for the same forms you originally sent. When you call USCIS, and get insulted to make you feel like your petition dont mean anything to them, not even a job, you begin to feel bitter.

When your told work visas are the priority, well to me , mistread by society, maybe not,, but mainly mistreated by our own government.

We pay $355.00 upfront with petition, then wait and wait, being told give it 30 more days, hum, I wish I had that option to tell my clients in 30 days.

And then tell the caller, No give it another 30 days. Blah Blah Blah.

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

:D

I called them the other week (from my GrandCentral number) and I didn't get much information. I'm ready for the next step... Also, on Igor's list, I see that people are getting their NOA2 regularly and most people who have sent their papers 2 weeks before me have been approved, so I know my turn is coming :)

I prefer to think it can be as long as 6 months, and then it's not, than the opposite. We're ready for the next step :)

I understand that part. I'm sure we could send them some Organizational Effectiveness coach and that the processes can be improved. Oh, and the insults have no place... I just thought the mistreatment by society was a little bit too much :P Also, I don't see what the Customer service agents can tell us more than "wait" (or details of RFE if it happens) since they don't work with our files directly; and I would not want to have the adjudicators (?) answering phone all day and not work on the actual files :S

Thank you Beth,

You all did adopt me into your group and I am very happy for that ... :)

I love my friendios...

Any one call recently ??? I keep making myself not call but I dont know how much more I can go. I need to live with my husband not like this..... I am beginning to think that I understand why people do this the wrong way and AOS from a visitor or student.

This is getting a bit on the riddiculus side but I suppose we have another brite spot on the US government... what do you expect they cant even get together to fix the Supremly important government issues... do we really expect them to streamline the family visas ...

Ok back to the real world to be pestered again about my husband I have to go to work ... YAK ...

Paris did you get anywhere with the emailing big boys ??? any one else get any news at all even RFE ???

Emmm, what's a Grand Central number??? Excuse my ignorance? And yeah, I called them pretty much the same time from the US while I was visiting my husband -- nothing new. We're almost ready for the next step too -- we're pretty much on the same time line and well, it really will be what it will be.

I'm so excited to get going on the next round though!

Your attitude is good -- I always figure that we've waited this long, another few more months won't kill us. But it is exciting and nerve-wracking sometimes.

:D

Thanks for Igor's list too, that's a good bit of info to have!

Best to you,

LGG

I got my GrandCentral number last year while they were testing it; it's a Boston phone number that I can transfer to my home line (or any other phone). It also has free voicemail, and I can also call any number for free. I am not sure it's supposed to work (the call transfer and free calls with Canadian numbers, but it does :D) More details here

I think everybody should sign up for an invitation to their service because it's amazingly good and it's free. I mean, it's better than my regular phone service! You can tranfer the calls to more than one phone at the same time, make rules for some callers, different greeting messages, etc.

Have a good weekend, LGG, and all of you still on their journey :star:

i know i have no cause to complain, but i want to dump my baggage here for a while... you guys have been good at listening to me whinning so far.. please bear with me.

I went out today to meet with some schoolmates of mine (law school), and as they chatted about their lives and their new books, new professors, new classmates, etc. etc. it made me feel sick... I didn't go back to school this year because we are almost nearing to the end of our petition (hopefully no RFE and I pass the interview) I didn't feel like wasting money to enroll and not finish it anyway. SO... I've been sitting at home since March and really doing nothing. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Just watching TV and surfing the internet the whole time. I didn't get a job because I didn't want to get training and have to leave the company after a few months. So... back to today, I was sitting here and I realize that what I really hated the most about this whole visa situation is that I have put my life on hold!!! Literally on hold!! I was telling my husband about the school thing and I realized that I may have sounded like I regretted the whole marrying situation but really... I don't! I realized that although I'm a lazy person I just cannot love my situation right now... I just don't like it. I don't like sitting around and not having any mental challenge. I hate not doing anything and leaving my future in total and complete unknown to me. I hate that this whole process leaves me completely hanging and my life is put on hold!!!

I know that most of you here are busy with work... even the beneficiary's here have work and you would want some break. BUT Trust me... 4 months of break... of absolutely not doing anything useful... will drive you insane! To top it off, you are waiting for the papers to come and god knows everyday passes like a minute is an hour and an hour is like a lifetime!

I just wanted to vent a little and say that. I hate that I have to postpone my life for a while for this visa process. If I didn't love my hubby a lot, I'd quit now and never ever do this again. BUT for him, I guess I'd brave this process again and again until forever or a visa is issued. :)

Thanks for letting me vent. I needed that.
