 Hey congratulation for the approval...

Hey paris what r u talking about converting to k1? i do not understand by proxy marriage. what is it? No where man do u get the interview date yet or still waiting?

Mrs. Simps, NO Im not converting to a K1 we are married. A k1 is like a K3 visa, NON Immigrant visa.

Its best suits us since we were married via proxy, enen though we consummated our marriage proving it is a bit difficult to USCIS, so this is something we can fall back on for just in case. Its stupid, we have been together face to face 4 times. 3 years behind us, everything listed in both our names, and this is still not enough for USCIS. Its not like we talked on internet for 3 months, then met face to face and got married the next minute like some has done. We tired to get married the regular way, but never worked out, getting married in France is very difficult for Americans. Anyways, he can come in as a Non Immigrant, and then we just adjust his status no big deal, just a bit more money in the finish. After all we will be together, and that is all we want. We have more history of a relationship then 10 couples put together.

CHILL Paris... You took the chance to get married by proxy... only you know what's right for you. Unfortunately, not everybody knows what proxy marriage is.. and I'm sure Mrs. Simps is just asking what proxy marriage is coz in most country this is not allowed (including Philippines). I'm sorry you are going through tough time, we all have our bad days... there's no reason to say that another couple's relationship is less valid than yours because they have less history. Oh, I didn't take offense.. hehe coz I know what my husband and I have. But some people might.

Yeah i never heard about proxy marriage. Thats why just asked what is it?? anyways Paris i won't say i m sorry for whatever happening to u dear. U know when anything bad happen to us we think why its only to me but u never know God is making something more better and good then this present time. so never get worried and no tension All rite? we all pray for u and InshaAllah i think something good will happen to u soon. I would say Paris wait and watch for your time to come. i m sure ur time of the happiness is soon too. So lets dance and celebrate lol for up coming happy moment inshaAllah.

History is history in my opinion. But hopefully everyone were friends with their spouses before getting married and have that background. :) I believe that friendship is the best foundation for anything wonderful.

Yeah I figured some would take offense, it was not mean that way so no need to chill out. Im never said my is more valid, we had 3 years, 4 trips way more then some married, and we more then meet the K1 qualifications for K1 filers. They have to meet 1 time. When you in our place who originaly filed last year, we met Nov. 2006 and honestly that is before some even thought of VJ much less getting mariried.

The probelm is people read and take what was said out onf context.

So chilling is not the problem, its tryign to get USCIS that we are real, honeymoon spent together, and all the others thinking its no big deal. Actually its no big deal to many, they they are not in my shoes.

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

I agree with Paris I think its FREAKING ####### that some people do not even know the people they are fileing for. I might need to chill do to a personal reason but even some people who have known their bf gf fiance shorter than I have been married get approvals for K1 visas. SHE knows her husband they got married by proxy its perfectly legal and allowable if the adjudications officer isnt smart enough to figure it out well then why do they have the job.

Doesnt it scare all of you that the person that does not understand a marriage by proxy is working on your file ???

It is frusterating. I have had 3 trips to see him JUST him spent over a month together over seas. We have our problems but every couple does. we were together almost a whole year befor fileing and now it appears we will wait another YEAR before living together in the states.

YES ITS ####### k1 H and B visas get somehow approved before family visas. Even visas for LPRS take FOREVER while people who are K1 H and B get approved so quickly.

I really doubt that anyone will be happy with my post but seriously screw it. This is how I feel and normally I am suzie sunshine but USCIS has squished my sunshine into rainclouds and frustration.

Personally, I do frown upon people who do not have any time or friendship behind them in their relationships. It just doesn't seem real to me. (I'm not saying it isn't real but I simply cannot fathom it.) I've seen so many people that have met online then meet in person 5 or 6 months later, then tie the knot during that same trip. It's too rushed in my opinion and too unreal. And then you see them get approved quicker than a person with say, 3-4 years relationship with their spouse.

But, everyone is different and some people don't have a problem with going so fast, but I am personally happy because I was friends with my husband for ages before we even dated. In my opinion, it doesn't matter how much you talk about things online, because there are some things that can only be realized and seen when you've been together physically for a certain amount of time.

This whole ''rant'' was my opinion. I don't mean any offense nor harm to anyone. :)

I totally agree with you ber.. Living with your spouse physically for along time and then being apart is not easy. How true this is! i do think the same that ppl who has really long relation with their spouse they have to wait long and some of them met only for few days and got the approval soon, no offense pls.. i m just telling the truth of USCIS's heart breaking work.

My point actually was, there is only so much you can learn from a person online, which is why I think a person who marries during the first or second meeting isn't thinking straight or logically. In order to fully know a person, much time must be spent in each others physical presence. I mean, jumping head first into what should be a "life long commitment" hardly ends well especially if you don't really know each other. And I say this because eventually, you find out the puppy love was only puppy love and that you really have nothing in common. Not saying this happens all the time, but it's very common with couples who rush.

In conclusion, there is only so much you can learn from each other online. And some people differ dramatically online and in person. And sometimes, even that little habit they have, can be a deal breaker. It's just, yeah lol

I agree with you Ber+Ter, I certainly learned that with my husband. The first time we lived together by ourselves for 2.5 months was a time where we learned what marriage is all about. Love, commitment, sacrifice, and patience! Thankfully our marriage and us as a couple work things out instead of go other routes....I hope my comments made sense :)

Just to add, in Islam dating isn't allowed thus the western thought of living together before marriage is not allowed. We communicated with other people present, talked online, wrote letters, got engaged, and then got married...but it didn't take us one visit like Ber+Ter was mentioning. After 2 years we got engaged, and then 3 years later we are finally married alhamdoliallah!

It's Monday!

It's a new week and a new month!

I wish us all GOOOOOOD GREAT news soon :P

****

That was the positive part; now, in reality nothing moved for us since we got the NOA1, no RFE, no touch, nothing. Oh well... Luckily, we can see each other once every few weeks, so, I can't complain, but, some days, it's still hard... Don't worry, I'll give news when something will actually move!

It was same to me and my husband. We talked to each other by emailing and talking to each other on phone and talking to relatives lol.. The best part of the relation is when u have be apart from ur spouse and u realize how much u love him or her. u know i lived with my hubby more then 9 months and we got to each other a lot. Each small stuff i noted his good and his bad lol. He knows everything about me. When u hold ur spouse hand u will feel like world is all urs, Thats the true feeling of the true love i think. Loving each other, respecting, and taking care of each other is the pillar of ur relation.
