Good Afternoon March Filers..My husband want to fill up the I-864 but there is line of the form that made us confused.

Like the line 21.My husband put no.1 in letter a,b and c..But in the instruction it says -DO NOT COUNT ANYONE TWICE.My husband was so really confused about this thing. Please for those who already send the I-864.Please I need your help right now..Thanks in advance...

21. Your Household Size - DO NOT COUNT ANYONE TWICE

Part 5. Sponsor's household size.

Persons you are sponsoring in this affidavit:

a. Enter the number you entered on line 10.

Persons NOT sponsored in this affidavit:

b. Yourself.

c. If you are currently married, enter "1" for your spouse.

d. If you have dependent children, enter the number here.

e. If you have any other dependents, enter the number here.

f. If you have sponsored any other persons on an I-864 or I-864 EZ who are now lawful permanent residents, enter the number here.

g. OPTIONAL: If you have siblings, parents, or adult children with the same principal residence who are combining their income with yours by submitting Form I-864A, enter the number here.

If u the only immigrant and no one else accompany you to the states ..then its MUCH easier to use I-864EZ

and that form can be ONLY used as i stated above ..if u r the only immigrant ..and in such a case ..the house hold size will be 2

if he will sponsor anyothers rather than u ..then he should use I-864

me and my wife used the I-864EZ and its complete and succeful ..

look the attached picture for more clearing

Good Luck

Hi no where man..We didn't get our NOA2.My husband just want to prepare everything before our NOA2.Cos for me also its better we prepare everything and ask about it before the day we going to submit it.

hey!! your husband is in Military right? I've seen Military spouses get expedite... have you check on that yet?? Wonder who that works.

Good luck!! I'm sure you'll be okay. I'm still waiting for my marriage Cert, takes 3 weeks to get printed by NSO.

We're not yet ready ready for everything... but we're hoping to get things done this weekend.. then just wait for my docs to be sent to my hubby.

okay.. done calling NVC... gave them our email.

going to sit and wait for some movement again... *sigh*

hahahah... i think i might learn the virtue of patience after all!!

Hi Tngirl..Yes my hubby was ex-military.But he was not in service right now.He was only in Iraq as a Water specialist in the military base.I wish he was still in service right now.But he was not in service anymore when he started to email me...But that's ok.Everything will be fine.

Oh i see... well, hang in there your NOA2 is coming!!!

My I-130's are for both my parents. I made the mistake of not reading the full instructions on the IV instructions packet where it says that NVC needs originals of the Petitioners Birth certificate and Marriage certificate for all marriages if you are filing for a Parent or sibbling. So I had to overnight them to NVC they got there yesterday.

it took us 54 days to get approved.

you have to wait for your turn... a little bit of patience is required for this process.

lots of March Filers are still waiting for their approval... i suggest you work on your NVC papers in the mean time.

nobody can actually tell you which one would go faster, k3 or cr1... you must decide on this based on your research.

There's a guide here, you can see the difference between K3 and Cr1 visa. You should start there and work your way until

you have come to a decision.

Personally, I'm happy we didn't file the K3.

Good luck!!!

Yea, the waiting game sucks. Patience is what I have to get used to now :)

The work visas gave the family petitions a back seat, Stinks!! but I have noticed, those who filed a I-129F for a K3 got approved fast, this use to NOT be the norm lately.

Patience is not for one waiting and waiting for approval when others were approved quickly, the not knowing is the hardest part of the patience game. Some have patience ,some dont, mine ran out with USICS now since 11 days for issue of RFE and still not received via mail or email. Some got appoved in less then the time Im waiting for RFE to arrive.

Patience ran out a long time ago on this leg of journey for me.

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.
