We have really slow mail service where I am. Got home and have the 797 in hand! The notice date is April 30, 2009 We got it in the mailbox on May 5th. Status online still shows our last touch as 4/24/09

We called on March 27th to report no I-797. We were told we had to wait 30 days before we could find out any more info on it. We called back on April 13 and said we hadn't received the NOA1 (I-797)hardcopy. The lady told us she could see in the system that it showed sent but due to a glitch in the system it was never mailed and she would send one out.

Of course that didn't satisfy my IMPATIENT wifey so we called again on April 15th and said we hadn't received our NOA1 (I-797) hardcopy yet and the guy said he would mail us one out. We asked if we were assigned to anyone yet and were told our file was still in the mailroom. Still no updates on the website.

We called again on April 23rd and asked why others were being approved and we were still in the mailroom. I was told they get 3 to 4 hundred petitions a day and couldn't process them all that fast. He looked the case up and said it had been assigned to an officer on April 15th at 9:pm. I said I called on the 15th and it was still in the mailroom! He said it was assigned 2 hours after my call. (maybe calling did some good)

Even though my IMPATIENT wifey wanted me to call everyday I only made the calls listed here and refrained from calling every few days. I have a natural ability to piss people off so I figured it would be best if I didn't talk to them any more than necessary as I am SURE I would have said some things that would get my file dumped in the trash!!

Our first, last, and only touch occurred on the 24th due to the call on the 23rd.

CORRECT

everybody is different

here in Egypt the one we have must carry all the 10 fingers prints ..otherwise it wnt be valid at all

what happened to Tomaline is tht in their country they have TWO types of PC ...one for domestic use ..and another for the travelling use ...they issued the domestin one tht dont carry tha thumb prints...thts wht cause the problem

we shall be good .

Mrs. Simps, also remember each case if different, and not all officers work at the same pace.

Some submit a marriage license and a few pics, hardly anything, couple of emails, one meeting, boom approved, some submit everything, such as I did, due to show that we were together for the honeymoon since we married via proxy instaed of trying to marry again in France, longer to go thru, plus we submitted the 3 other vacations together, basiscally we submitted 4 trips to see each other, 3 years of phone bills, emails, and chat logs, all the docs to show a bona fide marriage, joint bank accounts, life insurance on each other, joint credit Master card, 2 joint American Express cards, 1 joint VIsa card, all the statements to these credit cards, sowing purchases of his and mine, joint utility bills, everything to show a long 3 year relationship and a bona fide marriage, so takes a bit longer to process, all depends on the case.

Another thing, sometime the origin of the beneficary has to do with it at times, longer time for back ground searches.

India, Jordan, Algeria, Iran, and rest of Middle East countries. Not fair, but safety of the USA is what counts.

For calling, yes some can be ignorant fools, thinking bullying USCIS will help, no it dont, , some call crying and pleading, that does not help, some have true reasons to call, I had a reason too, one was for a possible change of address for husband, one time was a 2nd NOA 1 that came, then once i called just to check. Most of time if your polite, they will help you in finding status. then you get the tough, no hearted ones, who do nothing. But there are reason like TNguy said, he called due to not receiving NOA 1, Calling once every 2 weeks dont hurt anything, Now we have seen 5 approvals since last Friday, that is good, I bet yours is on a desk ready to be processed, and a officer did not have the kindness to just tell your husband that, give it till end of May, you will have NOA 2 by then.

It all boils down to luck, how fast officer process, first come, first serve does not apply to USCIS.

For now prepare for NVC and your interview. The interview is where it all counts, PROVE everything of a bona fide marriage.

Print emails, section all your visitis with each other, pics with dates on them, places, anything joint that you and him have, banking, credit cards, leases, purchases, we are keeping track of all for our USA house, and our house in France. Our house in USA we paid off, but re-financed our house in Paris, and Im on the paperwork. He is on my medical, and Im on his in France private policy, we pay out of our pocket, in case I get sick in Paris. These are all the things of a bona fide marriage to show at interview. So concentrate on that for now, takes the mind off NOA 2 for a while.

It will come right when your not looking for it.

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

NO you wont get a RFE, see we had more to prove then other filers, we had to prove we spent honeymoon together cause we marreid via proxy due to cirstances. So I felt we had MORE to prove, and that is all.

But see I showed from day one of our meeting to our first marriage, to our second marriage, more complicated, but I wanted to show USCIS all due to our cirstances of when we first filed back in Jan. 2008 and did not want to think we were hiding anything.

You will be fine of what you submitted!!! You did good. Start on interview binder, phone bills, emails, car letters and etc. and you will do just fine to show a true marriage!!! Dont worry!! NO RFE for you!!!!!! HUGS!!!

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.
