Other information about joint sponsor:

A joint sponsor must be able to meet the income requirements for all the persons he or she is sponsoring without combining resources with the petitioning sponsor or a second joint sponsor

source: I-864 instructions

Good luck :)

uhmmm... well, our family household is only 2 persons (Hubby and ME)... so that's $18202... for us under the 2009 Poverty Guideline.

If we have to find a joint sponsor... do we add him to the household number of person? Or do we stick to the two person bracket?

Confused as always.

No you wont add co-sponsor to your household, basically he is adding you and him to his household bracket.

CR-1 for CSC is March 6th, processing times.

Huh? So.. for example.. his friend lives alone, no family. His income should be for three persons (including me and hubby)?

is that how it works? Sorry, a bit confused still.

From my understanding when read I-864, his friend only needs to add you in his household. So he has to meet the 125% income above poverty level for 2 household size. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong :innocent:

uhm

im also not so sure ..so i cant give so accurate informations

i think the best thing can be done is looking for active members that needed Co-Sponsor during their I-864stage

they are the ones who can get and tell the correct informations from their true experiences

wht u think!

Yeah, i think it's the best way if you make a new topic tngirl so you have bigger chance to get replies from other members. But have you looked at the I-864 form? read question #5.. there's only an option to put intending immigrant there which is point A. That's why I think joint sponsor only add you in his household. But just like no where man said, it is safer to get informations from someone who already get trough this :)

i know what you mean. honestly, i'd never ever want to do this ever again... and i don't think i'd ever find anybody that i'd love as much as my hubby to do all of these again. this is it for me... i'm happy that i met my husband really.. but goodness this process is beyond stressful.. it's downright driving me crazy!
