Now we sound like a cult

Well, if we wanted to be one we already have our own made up language :) It consists of: AOS, IV, NOA1, NOA2, NVC ,...

So we're like an elevated cult already, who hoo!

I thought we could come up with an initiation practice for the cult, but then I figured the USCIS and NVC already took care of the torture and hazing part for us.

I guess now we just light a candle and pray. Oh, wait, that already IS what we're doing on a daily basis ...

We're a cult ya'll, go pick out some ugly dresses and funny hats to wear now!

12/06/11.......................NOA

01/03/12......................BIO

09/10/12..................... Approved

can we ask a friend to co-sponsor me?

damn! the poverty line just went up!!! we're US4000 short!

tngirl, yes you can ask a friend to be a joint sponsor.. read this instruction below:

A joint sponsor can be any U.S. citizen, U.S. national, orlawful permanent resident who is at least 18 years old, domiciled in the United States, or its territories or possessions, and willing to be held jointly liable with the petitioner for thesupport of the intending immigrant. A joint sponsor does nothave to be related to the petitioning sponsor or the intendingimmigrant.

Your joint sponsor needs to fill I-864 form. You can also read the I-864 instruction for more information.. Good luck

Thank you for this info.. now we just have to find the right person to joint sponsor us. i don't see any family members of his who can meet a joint sponsor requirements. :( i may have to ask him if one of his friends can meet the requirement. however, given the bad economy the US is having ... i think we may have a hard time doing this.

:crying: i'm so tired of this process. why can't it be easy?? now, i'm scared of getting that NOA2 because we may encounter more problems along the way!

uhmmm... well, our family household is only 2 persons (Hubby and ME)... so that's $18202... for us under the 2009 Poverty Guideline.

If we have to find a joint sponsor... do we add him to the household number of person? Or do we stick to the two person bracket?

Confused as always.

No you wont add co-sponsor to your household, basically he is adding you and him to his household bracket.

CR-1 for CSC is March 6th, processing times.

Hey Sunflower, a officer would know if it was on a desk and started processing, but that is IF he or she really got off their kesters and looked. And that is the real question, did they truly look for you? Hang in their Sweets, its hard and easier said then done, but try to hang in there.

Your not alone in this, we are all with you.

You know also Sunflower, think about this. No Where Man, and TayRivers and TOAliwith Love, well 2 months ago, they did not even file with USCIS but see where they are now at end of NVC.

So soon you will look back and say the same thing I just wrote, you will see by end of May, you will say 3 months ago we were not even starting in this process and you will look back and laugh. It will be fine, it will be.

Huh? So.. for example.. his friend lives alone, no family. His income should be for three persons (including me and hubby)?

is that how it works? Sorry, a bit confused still.

From my understanding when read I-864, his friend only needs to add you in his household. So he has to meet the 125% income above poverty level for 2 household size. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong :innocent:
