I just got home.. went out the whole day to fix my bank account and get my police clearance.

Good grief!! You won't believe the long lines just to get a police clearance!!! My feet hurts like hell from all the standing in line.

I got 3 copies... whew!! Then I might go back and apply for a Police clearance card (new system) so that next time I go in for a copy, I won't have to wait in the long line. I should've went and got it today, but their machine broke down... can't issue cards until next week.

I'm dead tired on my feet, no touches today.

I'm working on my Marriage Cert, Birth Cert, and Certificate of Marriage on wednesday... more long lines to go!

How's everybody doing?

Congrats to everyone!

Well, My NVC journey was going kind of quick until I had a little bump in the road, Friday night. The DS-3032 was approved for my husband but not my step-child. I just got of the phone the NVC and a note to anyone that is petitioning for a child, the DS-3032 has to come from the Lawyer or the petitioning person not the parent. How freaking weird. So, I just resubmitted the petiton from my email for my step child, so that his IV Bill can be generated. My husbands's was generated on Friday and all ready to go.

I guess there goes one week wasted..........................................................................

VJ007,

Thats what I thought! The biological parent should sign. That is not the case. The petioner has to sign or it has to come from the petioner's email not the biological parent. That is so backwards to me.

So, I called back in reference to the DS-230, to see if I (petioner) had to sign that and they said no, the biological parent.

For Children:

DS-3032: emailed/signed by petioner assigning yourself as the Agent

DS-230: signed by biological parent.

Hope this helps someone else........................................

my package is like urs

but i added another additonal 2 photos just in case also i wrote the NVC case number in all the papers just in case lost here or here ...

oh yes, i send a cover letter too.. i forgot about that earlier, but I'm the one who sign on that letter.. Is that Ok? Or should I ask my hubby to make a new cover letter for that? :D

ur husband the petitoner should be the one who sign it

he is ur agent ..or why we choosed the petitoner in our DS-3032 if we will be the ones who signs the cover ?!

so to just prevent any confusion may happen make him print a new one and sign it himself .

nothing to worry abt

my DS-230 will be to wife tomorrow and then send to NVC on wed ..to arrive THrusday in sha ALAH

Good morning! Sorry to hear the child's ds-3032 issue. Would you please confirm that a child's DS-3032 form need to be signed/sent by petitioner? I thought it should be signed by the child's bio-parent. Please reply. Thanks!

Thank you so much, ToAliwithLove! it's weired that petitioner signs DS-3032 for step-child but not bio-parent. does anyone else had similar issue?
