Good Morning everybody

im awake too early was sending the DS-230 package to wife through FEDEX

as usual we must forget something even if u revised the whole papers for completion million times

thanks GOD its wasnt a missing document ..i just forgot to include the occuption i intend to have while in the state

will make wife add it by pen ...so everything is fine

i will be here after sometimes to talk abt NVC step by step and with details

welome wz the new members ..i see someone from Egypt here

Too excited??? Hahhaa.. I'm off to get my NBI tomorrow. I'm only 1 ride away (30mins) from my place to NBI... going to get 2 copies. Both I will send to my hubby, just in case the NVC lose the 1 copy we're sending them.

Good luck... and don't sweat it!You can always get another one and send it to Thomas. Although in my mind, if there's a thumb mark box there, they may wonder why you didn't put in yours... and might lead to RFE, I hope not.

hello no_where_man,

so okay.. if these are the steps in NVC, which part is where my husband sends my documents to NVC? (Ie BirthCert, Marriage Cert, Pics, Police Clearance, Etc.)

And which part is where my husband sends his docs (tax returns.. etc.)?

I'm always confused with these things... I'm trying to read and re-read the shortcut but can't seem to grasp the general idea.

Your husband sends all his docs, Tax Returns or Tax Transcripts, letter from employer, etc. Once the I-864 fee bill has been paid and he has printed out the Coversheet.

He will then pay the IV bill and print out the Coversheet for that and will then send all your docs, Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate, etc.

Morning everybody

i was a sleep and now im back again ...

i will start talking abt NVC in a while with details and short as i can

NVC :

1: Petition is approved ..its transfered to NVC ...keep calling till u get the NVC number for ur case .then provide emails with the operator (make sure u provided it correctly or delay will happen as memeber reported )

2: some days ..DS-3032 and AOS is generared via their system for ur case ..they send BOTH the petitioner and the applicant emails include the NVC case number ..and the INVOICE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER and a weblink for paying

(and dont forget to send back the DS-3032 via the applicant email to the NVC )

3: you log online using these informations in the provided weblink to pay using bank account number (saving or checking) and the route number

4: first u pay it will show IN PROCESs..and then you will find DOCUMENT COVER SHEET button is disabled

5: second day or the third max u will find the status turned to be PAID ..DOCUMENT COVER SHEET button is enabled

6: DOCUMENT COVER SHEET is wht we call BAR-CODED SHEET (cz u download and print it ) and it contain ur name ..ur case number ..and a bar-code figure ...thts the prove u will include in ur package and send to NVC wz ur papers to prove u PAID

the AOS(sent by the petitioner to prove to US government tht he/she can support the aplicant package must include :

1 : Bar - coded cover sheet showing the affidavit of support form I-864EZ (OR I-864) fee PAID

2 : Completed and signed Affivadit of support form I-864EZ

3 : ( Income Tax Return + W2 + 1099 ) for the last recent 3 years ( 2006 – 2007 – 2008 )

4 : A letter stating my employment

5 : Copy of my pay stubs for the last 12 Months and up to date

some days when the DS-3032 is accepted by NVC (they reply back ur earlier email abt it telling u they got the selection of the choice of Agent )..then the DS-230 or wht we call IV (immigration visa is generated ) will be generated ...again log to the weblink ..pay and wait till it show PAID so u be able to print THE DOCUMENT COVER SHEET ..and here its time for the petitioner to send the APPLICANT doucments (the applicant should send it to the petitiooner earlier so in case ready to be sent to NVC by the petitioner as he is the chosed agent )

that package must contain the following :(this is the package i sent today to wife in turn to send it to NVC )

1. Bar - coded cover sheet showing the Immigrant Visa Application DS-230 Fee PAID

2. PhotoCopy of the biographic data page of the beneficiary's passport

3. Four (4) Passport-sized photographs of the beneficiary

4. Completed and signed form DS-230 Part 1, by the beneficiary

5. Completed and unsigned form DS-230 Part 2

6. Original birth certificate of the beneficiary + Translation + Photocopy

7. Original marriage certificate of the beneficiary and the petitioner and its translation notarized from the American Embassy in Cairo / Egypt + PhotoCopy (and divorce if applicable )

8. Original police certificate of the beneficiary + Translation + Photocopy

9. Original military certificate of the beneficiary + Translation + Photocopy(if applicable )

some important notes :

1: no need tobother ur self with DS-3032 bar-code instructions ..just send it via applicant email (the immigrant ) and when its accepted then IV bil i generated (more fast and accurate than sending it via MAIL )

2: i u decided to send it via MAIL u can download it from the emil sent to u from NVC earlier when the AOS was generated ..and it contain its own bar-code ..so dont bother

3: no need to read NVC instrction RAHTER TO WAIT the NVC to send these the requested documents via mail to petitioner or applicant ..as u get the DOCUMENT COVER SHEET (the bar-coded sheet tht show u PAID ) then if ur AOS is ready send it at once as mentioned earlier

Here is the emails i got and my wife to i both our emails for more clearing :

first : DS-3032 and AOS generated emails ( two seperate emails )

the DS-3032 GENERATION EMAIL SAY :

subject : CRO--------------(this is the NVC case number ) (0405 ACL COVER LETTER)

LOl, Yes ber. I believe we very well could be file room buddies. Praying we are not background check buddies at all, but if we are it will be in NVC.

I really hope not but my husband has a the most common arabian name Ahmad and the last name isnt much better. Top it off with he is MENA and you get lengthy background checks ....

If God wills it he will be here sooner.

Does anyone know if the extra screening is only for K visas (1/5 all applications will be randomly selected for extra screening) or if it includes us

Hi Courtney

K visas are the most one that put for more AP on the NVC stage (specially the K1 )

but for sorry tht some CR-1 , IR-1 are suffering this too ..(but so so so rare really )

so if in ur place i wouldnt worry

wht we should consider is the AP or BACKGROUNd check on the embassy level for MENA area

no doubt Name play a big rule thanks GOD both my first and last arent such types of names

but no one know only when Visa in hand

we will see ..

Back gorunds checks stink , makes me wonder what happens with all the other back ground checks BEFORE the interview??

Well, I did it . I leave Houston Thursday evening for a weekend with my husband in Paris to return to Houston on Monday.

I need a husband/Paris weekend!!!

QUESTION ...... why can they not just like start the background checks NOW and finish them when they do. I dont get why it has to be you wait ALL this time at USCIS then NVC and then you give me AP... like excuse the language but ####### ????

Beth, what if your NOA2 comes and your not home ?????????? whos checking your mail for you ? I am 100% sure your way on top of that ..

Have not even thought of it, I got up this am, booked a flight, and that was it.Then I called hubby in Paris, he is so excited, I thought about just showing up and surprise him, but since my french is not up to par, the taxi driver would of probley taken me to a whole different place then our house. Anyways, will have neighbor who will tend to my dogs check mail.

I just really need this weekend get away with him. Spring itme in Paris, "sigh"

Back grounds checks are done on BOTH the petitioner and the beneficiary. Some of the beneficiarys / males of MENA get AP after the interview. Still makes me ask, what about all the other back ground checks before interview?????

In this thread that means Courtney, No Where Man and myself , our cases may be subject to this nightmare after the interview.
