"Mrs. Simps , the only reason a name back ground check can take so long is if Beneficiary has a "Hit" on their name.

Which means a few things, wanted by authorties, name familar with terrorism,, and etc. Now your the beneficary right?

Okay then, I doubt any hits will be on your name, most of the hits are on males, please please stop crying, your getting yourself upset, and soon sick over nothing!!! And Im not sharing my wrinkle cream with you when 2 new wrinkles pop up tomorrow on you!!!!! from you crying."

thanks all i am just wondering how did u know this? my wife has no record of anything close to what was mentioned. but i have three misdemeanors on my record and i started to cry becuase i thought they were doing the background check on me. is it only for the beneficiary? or will they do one on me too? i dont feel i have anything that would give them a red flag on my record and all of my misdemeanors are ten years old now. but i do get stopped at the airport for questioning every time i fly. any ideas about whether it will be for me too? i hope everyone will be with their spouses soon. thank u all.

Mr. Simps background checks on beneficiary mainly!!! Your wife has no worries there. Its public fact, the beneficiary goes thru several back ground checks, from criminal to how many times she was married "if that is the case" same with petitioner.

USCIS told her the same thing theyare trained to tell all callers, 90 days for back gorund checks!!!! its pure horse hockey unless a name get a "hit" and I dont think hers will. Please dont let this worry you and her.

Getting stopped at airport is common now a days, I got stopped too long ago, and I was born here, I just got off a plane from France. Its all going to be fine so very soon.

Here read a bit of this, it will help ease your mind.

HUBBY just called USCIS!!!

We've been assigned to an officer already since April 15th, 9pm. NO Noa2 yet, but this sounds more promising than the mailroom. I smell NOA2 coming soon!!! For Beth, Sunflower, Simps and I!! *fingers crossed* They told us to call in two or three weeks time, but I think it is best to call every week just to check. :D:D:D:D

BTW, they also said that the most reliable way of communication so far is thru regular mail. Which is a joke since lots of people did not receive their NOA1 or NOA2.

Tomuts, I suggest you call them about the NOA2 again. I received my NOA1 after a week... we had to call them twice for it.

HI HUN,,

Ask ko lang where did u attend the CFO seminar ?( CFO pala un kala ko COF! hahah)

What are needed so I can attend too? at para saan nga yan? Narinig ko na yan from my friend, but I could not ask her anymore coz she is now in the USA.

I went to DFA last Tuesday, parang nrinig ko, though I am not sure sa DFA yan? KUng naisip ko lang sana um-attend na ako last Tuesday.

Hi tngrl! Have you already attended the CFO seminar? iF not yet, how about attending it together? Im just thinking out loud.

BTW, have you watched American Idol? I like Adam and Chris Martin. Just to divert our attention from stressful USCIS! LOL

I already have my CFO certificate. Bring your Marriage Cert, Passport, and a Valid ID, divorce paper copy) if applicable, parental advice/consent if applicable. Seminar last half-day to almost a day depending on how many people attended and which seminar officer you get.

Call them at 911 1814 or 9136439. They are in Katipunan... beside the LRT2 station.

You have to go back though once you get your visa, they will issue a sticker and affix it on your passport. I went to get mine even without the visa yet because the DFA told me I need the certificate to renew my passport under my hubby's name.

Back to the phone call though, he said fileroom, so I'm assuming mail room...and no officer for us. Oh well. :o

My husband is going to call tomorrow, maybe they'll tell him something helpful.

When I called today, the guy asked if he could speak to my husband and I was like, he's overseas...and then, yeah. He became unhelpful. I want to talk to the nice lady, you are all getting. :(

Maybe a touch is when you call and ask about it? ~_~?

And fileroom = mailroom right?

Or are those terms different in the US.

Maybe he decided to get my butt out of the mailing room/filing room. o_o

But um, I hope my husband and my age won't be a problem. It's not a gap, it's just that we're like..20, 21

our relationship dates back a while though, and we sent tons of photos. :3

Should be fine. :3!

I'm so excited for everyone!! This touch is now my motivation to change my passport to my married name. :jest:
