question about medical exam

Hi everyone, I'm new here.

Just a quick question. What would be the grounds for denial for a K-1 at the medical exam?

My fiance has had surgery "down there" if you know what I mean.

She has a scare and I think they have taken something out. The DR. told me she has a 60% chance of having kids.

But with the Language barrier here in Thailand, I'm still not exactly sure what she had or what was taken out. Maybe a ovary?

She'll have insurance when we get to the States I just want to be prepared for the medical exam which will probably happen tomorrow if we have time.

Thanks to any replies and this site is great. It's helped me more than anyone can know!

They are going to ask her if she had any surgery before. I think they care more about the disease that could pass to others. They are for sure going to check the blood for HIV and for one more thing, im not quite sure exactly for what. Also they are going make the X-ray of the chest and giving her the shot of vaccine.

thats what I thought too. We've both had Hiv tests so we're good there. I wonder if we should just not tell the Doctor she's had surgery. I know the answer to this already.

I've been truthful thus far so why lie now?

sorry for thinking out loud, This visa stuff is making me lose my mind!

Wish me luck!

Good luck with the medical.

If she does not have any disease then you will not have to be worried. I know I don't get my interview date yet but i was worried as heck too so I went for medical since embassy said it is valid for 6 months. Everything went so well so I am good to go, now just waiting for the interview date.

If your wife under 26 yrs then she will need to get HPV vaccine too. I got 3 vaccine shots.

I had my medical today, in Zagreb, Croatia.

I had a blood test (HIV and syphilis - nothing else). The panel phyisican filled in some Embassy form that I had to sign, and that was about it, right there at his office. He wanted to know if I used medications, smoked, had asthma, diabethes or high blood pressure problems and asked if I knew my height and weight. He listened to my heartbeat with a stethoscope, as well as my lungs. My vaccination chart showed no need for any other vaccinations. Then I was sent to get a chest x-ray, got the results right away, brought them back to him and that's where it ended.

There were no pregnancy tests, no questions asked about drug use, or basically any of the things people from other countries often mention.

hey thanks for the replies folks.

Another thing that's odd is I'm going thru packet 3 and there is nothing about the medical in here.

I know for sure we have to get it done, but maybe they forgot to include the paperwork in here?

Is anyone familiar with the process here in Bangkok?

Don't worry. It is not the kind of thing they check for.
