Hey guys!

another hit n run :)

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

I just got off the phone with USCIS. I made sure I was the first bright and shiney voice they heard today...

I received an RFE for medical. Same one I received last time when I requested and expedite due to my daughter's condidtion.

I called this morning to find out WHY they sent that to me since that was not my reason for the expedite request this time. She checked in the sysytem and she read me the expedite request. It is stated that I requested ERROR. Must have been a computer Glitch from yesterday. She did tell me all the computer systems were down yesterday. That includes VSC. So, that could be the reason we didn't hear anything at all .

So do they pack up and go home when the computers are down or do they continue to process the petitions???

Today is HUMP DAY. An approval today would get me over the hump.

I sent a huge box to my husband and his family VIA a Costa Rican delivery company. I sent it 2 weeks ago. I was informed that it would arrive today. I really hope it brightens their day.

Hi Jen,

I meant to write you about ur old post then saw ur new one in big prints and in red!! That is exaclty what I told my congressman in my letter than I plan to fax:

Here is part of my letter:

I called USCIS yesterday (Monday, March 2nd) and put in an expedite request with the following confirmation # XXXXXXXX for our I 130. The category of the expedite requested was USCIS Error (to which the agent I spoke to agreed and even asked a supervisor prior to accepting to process my expedite request). This morning however, I received an email from the Vermont service center (please see attached copy) stating that my case is within processing times according to their system which is information that conflicts with USCIS. Their email states:

“The status of this service request is: Our review indicates that this case is actually within our current processing time. We are currently processing cases filed on April 1, 2008. We regret any misunderstanding. If you do not receive a decision or notice of other action within our current processing time, check our website for an update or call customer service at the number provided below.”

Two things do not add up in their email to me. First, the processing time for I 130 according to USCIS agent (__name____), ID # _________ who I contacted today is September 30, 2008. Second, my case is clearly outside of the USCIS processing times. While I realize they would deny my expedite because the reason the expedite was filed under in their mind is not due to USCIS error, their email to me this morning contains at least two errors and does not make sense.

How is it fair that droves of US citizens, who filed way past my filing dates by several months with CSC, are already either approved, were granted interview dates and are about to be or already are reunited with their spouses, while I am still waiting and my case is clearly outside of the processing times by 2 months and 12 days and I am erroneously being told I am actually WITHIN the processing timeframe and not OUTSIDE?

Why don't you get your congressman to light the fire and crank up the knob oh so high and ask what's taking so long with your abjudication?? Have you contacted his office?? And what did he say?

I demand answers as to why they are giving us erroneous information and sabotaging our expedites on purpose!! I totally understand it doesn't fall under USCIS ERROR but why take the request to begin with and create a msg with CLEAR ERRONEOUS INFO in it??

Well, I was told on the 23rd of Feb that my petitions were with an adjudicating officer. it has been 8 business days. Ok, so take away Monday for Snow and Tuesday for the computers being down. ( so they claim) So it has been 6 BUSINESS days. How long do they need? And how long were they with the officer before I was told? 1 day? 3 days? Who knows.

I'm in that " I DON'T CARE ABOUT ANYTHING" mode today. Seriously, this is ridiculous.

Good morninig ladies and Steve :D

Jenn, are you checking the USCIS online account everyday? I had my thing set up for the email to tell me when I was approved. I did not get the email though. I went in my account to print out the stepkids approval notices when I noticed my petition was touched. I clicked on it and found the approval. Some people don't get emails or updates in the computer at all...if they did work on your petitions while the computer is down, it's possible that they approved it already and will be mailing it out- but it won't show up in the computer. Same for all you ladies who are due for your approvals soon. After all, Steve just got his approval in the mail.

Well I figured they would give some bullsh1t with the expedites. The 6 month thing never holds water. Last time they did that everyone called them and was given the run around. Finally they just changed it back to some lame date, and removed the 6 month thing from the website.

GS4EVER - LOOL, no I dont mind you asking about the RFE we received. VSC requested a copy of our foreign language marriage certificate. I only sent the translated english copy. Silly mistake but it did cost us some time as we would have approved in January instead of still waiting in VSC in March!

Today we officially hit the 200 day since filing our I129F and 260 day since filing our I130 - just wanna scream!

Could still kick myself for filing that damn I129F - hubby would have been here by now had i left it alone

When we do get approved, we can abandon the I129F (K3) when it gets to NVC and just follow the CR1 route? I think I read that here before...

Lisa - thanks ur a gem, you never forget any of us!

Narina - I enjoy decifing the encrypted messages in your profile! Thanks for sticking around for all of us - thats dedication!

To everyone here: ur advice & support dont go unnoticed, your a strong group of people & its a pleasure to be in your company :star:

Yes... I was trying to avoid that stupid website but i did just check... BLAH BLAH BLAH Same ####### as yesterday. ewww I'm in a disgusting mood.... can't shake it . Tucho is rubbing off on me. LOL ( Don't i wish...LOL) But seriously, his mood has been crappy lately too. This whole thing is old.

Narina, I remember when you said you were convinced that someone burned your petitions at VSC.... I seriously think they burned mine instead of yours. I wouldn't doubt if some nasty old bitty took my petitions and moved them to the bottom of the pile just because I called 2 times yesterday... :( Maybe she is mad with her husband and took it out on my petitions.

HAHAHAHAHA JOKE OF THE DAY !:::::::

Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between February 8, 2009 and March 4, 2009*.

If this date range has passed or your application is past due per USCIS processing times then you should consider calling the USCIS to inquire on your petition. If you have been approved please update your timeline.

Based on timeline data, your I130 may be adjudicated between November 29, 2008 and January 4, 2009*.

When's lunch? I'm starving!!!

Hope everyone is hanging on. This week seems to be tough at VSC. I can't stand to see you guys get the run around from them! I'm mailing my AOS package today and can't do anything about the IV till my husbands police certificate gets here. I also found out every thing has to be translated into English for the Albanian embassy. So Albanians can't even have documents in Albanian....stupid.
