Hello,

I've applied for both the K-3 and CR-1 visas respectively. I have decided to go after the CR-1 Visa for the different reasons I've read on this message boards. Now I have received the Case Number for 129F on Feb. 20, 2009.

Now the other day, I got in the mail an invoice fee for the AOS of $70, and a DS-3032 form the Choice of Address and Agent, the date of the invoice was Feb. 24, 2009 (I will update my timelines, as I know they are useful for everyone, but I want to make sure where everything goes before I update them.) Now on that form I got another Case Number from NVC, however it doesn't mention anywhere that it is for I130 or I129F. Is this the case number for the I130/CR-1 Visa?

I want to pursue the I130, so by paying that $70 fee and submitting the DS-3032 form, does this indicate that I'm pursuing I130?

I guess another way of saying it, is where is the point that you abondon the K-3 process, and fully go for the CR-1 Visa? I'm thinking that by paying this $70 and turning in the DS-3032, I'm doing that, or is this just continuation of the I129F? But then why the different Case numbers from NVC? Starting to get confused, help anybody.

Thanks

I've updated my timeline to aid VJ users, please update yours if you haven't :-)

Yes, the DS-3032 and $70 fee are associated with the I-130 but nobody has applied for anything. Soon, your spouse will provide a DS-230. That's a visa application.

to clarify what pushbrk stated, when you sent in the I-130 and 129f those both are just petitions for your wife from you. The actual visa applications are done by NVC or the Embassy for each type of Petition. And yes the DS-3032 and AOS fee of 70.00 is for the I-130. Look at the wiki portion of this site for help on the NVC process.
