interview on march 12., pls help...... on tax returns

I'll be having an interview this coming march 12 and according to the interview notice., i should bring affidavit of support with the recent tax year unless already submitted. To be safe I will be bringing a copy of that affidavit of support and 2007 tax returns. My husband hasn't file his 2008 tax returns. For those who will be interviewed this march. did you use your 2007 tax return or 2008?

I'm supposed to be going in tomorrow and my husband hasn't filed this year yet because he was waiting on s couple of forms which took forever in the mail, so 2007 is what we'll use. (We had submitted three years' worth before...)

If your husband's income for 2007 was above the poverty line, you'll be Ok. We been asked by the IO about my wife's income tax return for 2008 because my wife's income for 2007 was below the poverty line. It's btter to file your 2008 tax return before your interview. File your return electronically.

Good idea to have copies of 2008 returns. Doesn't matter if they are filed eletronically or by mail. As long as you have the W2s or 1099s and copies of the 1040 to filed.

Actually doesn't even have to be mailed. Just so they are dated accordingly.

Well, how about this. I got laid off and didnt quite make half the amount needed for government purposes. But I made it up for my family by mowing yards and doing pilot ground school at home for pilot candidates. Problem is I have no paperwork for the income in 2008. Can I just claim the money on my taxes which will cover the minimum required and simply pay the taxes on that money so it shows on my return????

Wow..you wouldn't want what happened to our interview..ok, its best if he sends you w-2s for 2208 and paystubs 2008..good luck..please pray for us, my husband just had his interview and he needed to submitt additional requirements NBI n I-864 after submitting all will b well..thank you..good luck

I just got my 2008 taxes done by a professional and he gave me a copy of everything. Do they ask for copies or do i have to make a copy of my 2008 taxes also???

i had my interview last March 2. for the 1040 its for the year 2007 and the W2 for 2008. No prob. with the consul. Photocopies will do.
