Thanks again everyone! Yes it is vsc.

I wish I could take credit for how fast this was approved, but I have to say in all fairness I pretty much owe everything to this website. I especially want to take time out to thank the senior members who helped me and everyone else in here. Specifically, people like Yodrak, Kaydee, and Aussiewench. There's no doubt the advice I was given here was a major factor to my expedient approval.

When I was ready to send my package, I had included every document that I had because that's what I thought you were supposed to do. At that time my package was almost 2 inches thick. I remember being in a serious thread here about what to send and specifically whether sending too much information could actually hurt you. After some intense discussion and specifically the recommendations from Kaydee, I made the decision to remove all references to "proof of relationship" and just give them exactly what they asked for. I believe this was a major factor in my petition being processed so quickly.

Thanks again to everyone here for helping me...and the Journey continues!!

got letter from USCIS saying I-129 was recieved on NOV 19 2005. looked at the USCIS web page on 1-25-06 and they were processing petitions dated 11-29-05. I know my fiance should be approved at uscis in about 2 weeks. How long is the average wait after it is approved there?

After you get NOA2 it will go to NVC, which on average I think is 1-2 weeks to show up in the system and another week or so to get processed, case number assigned and shipped to the consulate.

After that, whenever you get the paperwork turned in and get an interview date, you will know how much longer you have to get the visa.

Aaron, You should receive either an NOA2 or RFE by 1 month after they updated. This was a bit confusing to me, but let me try to explain. If your priority date is 7/15/05, and they update the website on 1/24/06 and they state that they are working on cases dated 7/12/05. You can expect something by 2/24/06.

If you haven't received anything by then call the USCIS and request an inquiry. Don't delay though, once you submit an inquiry you need to wait 30 days for a response.

I did this about our I-129F. I even waited about 2 months after before I submited the first inquiry (long story on why I waited). I had to submit 3 inquiries total before they found our application and processed it) In total I waited an additional 6 months after it should have been approved.

Good luck...it should be soon!

Wow that was one fast approval...................I sent my package in more than a month before you & I haven't heard a single thing. Pretty straightforward case & application-but nothing.

Amazing how some people are approved in days............guess it all depends on who gets the case.
