Hello,

I applied for green card for my family (my parents and 2 bro) a few years back. My parents got the green card but my bros are still waiting on their green card. When i applied for it, i was in college, so an uncle of mine signed up to sponsor my family. Now i am sponsoring my wife, and i am the prime sponsor and will sign up to support her.

A) on the poverty list, how many people in my house hold do i come under.

B) will i be docked as supporting my family

c) when will they not be supported officially by me/uncle?

a ) You count all persons in your household that you support, if your parents do not live in your home you dont caunt them as dependents.

b ) Yes, you still count prior sponsored immigrants.

c ) You an your uncle Will be their sponsor until, The sponsored immigrant dies, the sponsor dies, the immigrant takes a job and works 40 quarters (10 years), the immigrant leaves the USA and gives up residency, or the immigrant naturalizes and becomes a US citizen (possibly 5 years).

I am not living with my parents or supporting them. Will i still count them? Also my brothers are also not here. So which household number do i fall under? (sponsored my parents,2 brothers and now wife).

You dont count your brothers they are not in the USA so are not sponsored immigrants yet.

But neither is my wife. She is not in america right now either. So will they not be included as well?

You need to prove that you can support your wife and yourself and any other dependent living in your household under your total household income. That would include, you and any other person who is living in your house and if those persons bring any income into the household you may or may not include that into your total household income if and only if you will be including that person as a household member. So if your parents live with you or your brothers you sponsered then you would add them. if not then it is just you and your wife. Only your income counts.

Yes she is the immigrant that you are sponsoring at this time, just count her as the sponsored immigrant, NOT as wife on the I-864.
