I'm so FRUSTRATED

I'm going insane! So we mailed out our I864 on Friday, but my Dad (who is sending it for me since I"m visiting my hubby) failed to realized that NVC is closed on the weekends, and so when he overnighted it, no one was there in the morning to receive the package. Hence they left a notice. I don't know if NVC is going to go to the post office to PICK up my package?!!! And I can't arrange for redelivery (i've tried)... they have to. Has this happened to anyone?! I'm panicking....:( If they don't pick it up, the package is sent back in 5 business days, but that's 5 business days LOST. grrr. I hope this all works out... anyone with any advice?

Moving this to NVC forum.

I always say simply use USPS Priority mail, OVER-NIGHT mail just costs $$ and may save you a day or so in processing time time once the government gets the package.

In this case NVC would get a priority mail and "Over-night" package at the same time, Monday.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Don't worry. We had exactly the same experience. My husband overnighted our package on a Saturday and when I tracked the package online the following day, I read the same message. "Delivery attempted on Sunday 00/00/09, undeliverable etc... No worries, it arrived and was signed for on the Monday by NVC. You will be fine! :thumbs:

I had the same thing happen to me, It should be delivered tomorrow and signed for. You can also go to the USPS website and request that they redeliver the package a well.

So I called NVC today just to make sure that they'll get it redelivered ASAP, and the recorded message says that they're closed when I hit 5 to be connected the operator. I called at 3:30 PM, so I know they had to be open and it was on a Monday!! Is there some closing I don't know about?
