How do I check on the status of my I-601 ?

As we all know,the counsalates have a problem answering phone calls.They are better at answering e-mails but haven't answered mine yet.

1. Go to the USCIS Home Page

2. Go to right column and Case Status on Line

3. go to Register

4. Go to centre column and to register as an applicant click here

5. Accept the Terms and Conditions

6. Fill in the form and submit

7, Follow with the rest of the requests.

I doubt very much that you will get updates, we didn't, just the approval e-mail at the very end of the process. But who knows it have worked differently for others.

I filed the waiver in Panama.They told me it would be adjudicated there,not in the USA.

If the application is approved, USCIS sends approval notification to the appropriate Embassy for issuance of the visa. If the application is denied, the applicant will be notified in writing of the decision and the visa will not be issued.

I do also know that if your case goes to Italy you can check their website for status updates. I do not know if this will help or not but here are the two links.

When I called the USCIS,they said they couldn't give me any information and that my fiance had to call and check on the status.
