'you know what kind of specialist I can go to?'

I suggest she go to a hairdresser

One with a 'special MRI'

a really powerful one. they have those in cleveland and nyc

Next she'll be advocating 'special CAT scans as well'

You can never go wrong with one of those in these cases.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

I've read of folks that can hear colors, see sounds, smell sights, etc. With appropriate evidence to back up why. Google my friend (any of you).

Here we go again. Why must I look up stuff to back your least credible claims? As a scientist I'm assuming all of these things are in peer reviewed journals. Why aren't these people on TV making money with some demonstrations?

Animals not too far away from humans can detect different EM ranges as well as auditory frequencies from us. And the genes that encode these abilities may not be 100% understood but they exist. And are not (in the cases we do know of) all that different from ours.

I said humans not animals or are you implying Magenta's friend wasn't human?

Here have another helping of fail:

http://www.livescience.com/health/050222_synesthesia.html

Dev Psychol. 2009 Jan;45(1):175-89.

Synesthesia: a new approach to understanding the development of perception.

Am J Hum Genet. 2009 Feb;84(2):279-85. Epub 2009 Feb 5. A whole-genome scan and fine-mapping linkage study of auditory-visual synesthesia reveals evidence of linkage to chromosomes 2q24, 5q33, 6p12, and 12p12.

Jpn Hosp. 2008 Jul;(27):51-6. Colored-hearing synesthesia.

J Neurosci. 2008 Dec 10;28(50):13696-702. Neural substrates of sound-touch synesthesia after a thalamic lesion.

Please... don't let others do your homework for you or you'll continue to FAIL.

I'm glad your beginning to start backing your claims. So some people have synesthesia which makes them hear colors or see sounds. It's a mental disorder. I remember hearing about a man who mistook his wife for a hat. That doesn't mean they can pass an objective test. Let's say I see pink elephants riding skateboards on the highway- that doesn't mean they're there. This doesn't prove people can talk with the dead. I still don't see anything that was once supernatural power of humans which has now been proven.

If you read what it is I wrote... you'd notice I am not claiming what it is you claim I am claiming. :P
