Some are real. Some are fake. How to tell the difference between the two is the real challenge.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

None of them are real. There are no scientific studies proving their claims of speaking with the dead.

I would hazard a guess that 90% are fake. They tend to be very good at reading people and asking questions that lead to the answers, without the questioner realising what they've done.

Sylvia Browne is one such individual. She has been proven wrong so many times it isn't funny that she is still out there, telling people piles of codswallop.

Montel is the only one who takes her seriously  she's on his show practically every day.

Yeah, he's just out for ratings. Watch him when she is on - he sets up the questions and finds out info before she starts to talk. If she's the medium surely she shouldn't have to ask a thing?

Go to YouTube and type in Sylvia Browne and fake. There are tons of vids on there showing when she was wrong - which seems to be most of the time. :P

I think mediums are hilarious. I also think those people who say they can see auras are fun to mess with :P

Funny thing is I actually believe that some people can naturally see auras. In teh UK I used to work with a guy who was a serious as anything. Typical stereotypical scientist type. One day he started telling me about his mother who could sense where electricity was running in cables behind walls. She could touch a wall and tell you exactly where to drill (or not to! lol). So he would talk about this and one day he just piped up that he could see auras too.

He'd always been able to do it. So we asked him to read ours in the lab and he did. There was nothing SPOOKAY about it, he just concentrated for a bit and told us what they were.

I genuinely believe he could see them and I do think that the energy we humans radiate can be seen, by some people, around us as different colours.

It was, actually.

I'm really skeptical about stuff like this usually.

How he prove it? Did you drill into the walls?

Gullible people. I can see your aura from here and it's kind of magenta with a hint of a vision of the Virgin Mary.

Houdini had his say on this subject, he's from Wisconsin by the way, rubbish, all rubbish. And why does it take a medium? Special powers? Or special tricks? Anyone can talk to the dead, but getting them to talk back is the problem and directly, not through a medium.

Actually, I'm one of the most un-gullible people you'll ever not meet. However, I'm also open minded enough to not discount things I don't understand 100%.

And actually, there is way more to the electricity story than I told here, I just couldn't be arsed to type it all out. But yes, it did involve some "building work" and stuff.

But hey, you don't care about that!
