I have a few questions. For the G-325A form, do I need to have my fiancée sign and return the form or can I have her fax it over? Same goes for the letter of intent to marry, do I need to include an original signed document or would a faxed document work? I don't need any other documents from her during this part of the process right? What documents should I have her begin collecting for later on in the process? I'm a little overwhelmed with all the stuff I'm reading through about the process and the steps that need to be taken. Hopefully it’ll all go well.

Reunited for good and it feels so good!

Everything must be original and signed by her. For proof of meeting if she´s submitting her passport, stamps, stubs, etc, have her send you copies, no originals are needed for that part.

For further documentation, please read the guides. :)

Hello and welcome,

For the G-325a form your fiance must sign all 4 pages and date them...ORIGINAL signature is required...as well as for the letter of intent.

You will need a copy of her passport, translated and certified copy of her birth certificate, same for divorce decree. That is all I can think of for now. Good luck in your future. Find the guide for documents on VJ and also look at the assembly of your petition guide.

You're right - at this point you need to prove your US citizenship. Later you will need your fiance's passport, etc.

You are right they are not needed in the first part of the packet sending off. I just want to have her start gathering the other documents we are going to need so we are not held up waiting on that part of it. If she can begin gathering them now she won't be rushed to find this and that when the time comes.

Reunited for good and it feels so good!

For future documents read the guides for the I-134, and your consulate´s packet 3 checklist.

Remember though, police certificates, affidavits, medicals, all have an expiration date, and shouldn´t be collected too early in the process.
