Please don't use all capitals.

Go with the CR-1[1-130] She'll need to fill out the 4 page G325A when you are there. Saves mailing and chance of getting lost. Take LOTS of pictures.

Read the GUIDES for the CR-1.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

If you plan on being married before applying then you will have 2 options for the spouse visa. K-3 (non immigrant) and CR-1 (immigrant). The K-3 visa is generally faster to get but lately the CR-1 seems to be going just as quickly. The difference is the type Immigrant vs non. The CR-1 will allow her to work soon after arriving and the K-3 will require a little more effort once she is here. As far as the process goes both are easy enough that you can do it without a lawyer unless you have issues from either of your past that might present a problem.

I personally would recommend the CR-1 it is less involved and is not that much difference in time to process. The speed at which you get it complete depends a lot on you and being prepared ahead of time for each step. you can review the wiki on this site for help with speeding things up.

so the first thing you should do is down load the I-130 form from the USCIS website and take that with you to meet your wife. you can fill it out there and start gathering the needed documents while in her country. then apply when you get back to the states.

the time to process this is about 6 months at USCIS and then an additional 2-3 months for NVC and the Embassy portion.

so overall about 9-12 months depending on how fast you can gather needed documents.

The I-130 package you download will list all the documents you will need to file. If you really want to get a jump on it also download the DS-230 package found on the NVC website and have that filled out for use later in the process. this will save time down the road. Make sure when you get original documents for her and yourself to get at least 3 copies (overkill but be safe). the only way to speed it up is be ahead of the game at every step. there is also a flow chart for the NVC portion that will give you a good understanding of that process also found on this website.

Hope this helps good luck in your visa journey.
