IV paid - how long for DS230 packet?

I paid my IV payment of $400 already 1 month ago but have yet to receive my DS230 packet.

What is the typical time required for this? I will write them an email today but I am confused. I cannot go further wihtout this packet.

You do not need to wait for the one they send you. You can download the form from the Department of State website and fill it out now. I did not receive the hard copy until after our case was completed at NVC. Good luck.

OBX is right fill it out. Attach all the documents that you need (police reports etc) and print out the cover sheet from where you paid the iv bill. Send it all in.

Just go that link and fill in the info or print and write info in and print cover sheet and include all other original documents need, ex marriage cert, birth cert, pcc, photo, etc. btw don't forget to sign ds230 part 1 only, goodluck.

Thanks for the advice to download and print off of the website. I have filled out our official "practice copy" and have it all done and was waiting for the official packet.

My only question is - how will I receive my police report packet?

In Japan, you need an official note from the government to get it and that note is contained with the DS230 packet?

Before I knew that Japan required proof of being in the immigration process to recieve a police certificate, my wife went and tried to obtain it. They told her that they needed a notice or letter saying the police certificate was needed but if she had the case number then she could get the police certificate. So when we get approved for the NVC, I will forward her the email and also send her the case number as soon as I get it and she will go to the prefectural police department and request the police certifiate. I suggest you have your wife call or go to the prefectural police department and verify exactly what they want in order to issue a police certificate.

Take the NOA-2 copy and your DS-230 instructions asking for the police cert. to the station that hopefully will be enough to prove the need.

need some help..

we already paid AOS & IV fee bill, last february, but then our DS 230 and I-864 is still on my husband because he went back here for a month vacation.

and now we are confuse if can send DS 230 and I 864 together in one packet?? is it possible??

and anyone can give us the site in which there is procedure about NVC processing, so we could arrange our file accourding to what is important..
