Ok, so I'm a US citizen and I live with my husband in the UK. He's at university and will graduate next July. As soon as he graduates, we want to move back to the US.

However.. It gets difficult. I'm pregnant at the moment and there will be a little one in the picture by the time we would move... Because of this it's essential that he'll be able to work as soon as he gets into the country..

so.

1. What is the best option for us? The K-3 or the CR1? And what are the processing times of each?

2. How will it impact upon the visa application if there is going to be a child with us after the visa is filed but before we get to the US?

1. Your best option is to follow the Direct Consular Filing guide for a CR1 (or IR1) visa for your husband.

Is "next July" 2009 or 2010?

2. If the child is born abroad, file a Consular Report of Birth Abroad and get the child a US Passport.

If you've lived in UK for more than 6 months do as pushbrk said. DCF is fastest and easiest.

If you can't file by DCF do the CR-1. K3s are no longer "in fashion".

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!
