I wish you all best of luck! and always think positive..never listen negative people..be very well prepared..always smile at the interview and be confident and natural..everything will be great in the end.. :)

Hello all,

My interview was yesterday.. Thanks God!!! K-3 visa approved!!!! and UPS just delivered my passport.. I'll be able to fly with my husband on March 5th... I can't tell you how much happy we are... Thank you so much to you all and especially to pushbrk...

I want to share my experience to help those who will go to interview..

We went to Ankara, Turkey on Wednesday by bus which took 7 hours to get there. We were lucky because my friend lives just a few block away from the US Embasy.. We had a very good time in the eve and walked to the embassy on Thursday morning..we were there at 8.30 a.m. My interview was at 9 a.m. We met an Iranian couple outside who were on the same visa K-3.. They let me and the iranian woman in, but not our husbands.. I was very upset when I heard they changed the rules that they don't let the US citizens in the embassy till 1 p.m. I tried to convince them, but it didn't work.. I left hubby outside with his Iranian friend.. I was happy at least hubby wasn't alone outside.

After the security check, I gave them my passport, 2 photos and medical exam report, and they gave me a number. I started to wait inside to be called..also tried to talk to that Iranian woman who seemed she has no preperation. Whereas I had a huge file that filled with documents, pictures, e-mails, phone bills etc. I couldn't communicate with her because she didn't speak English.. She had her interview by 10 a.m. It was fast! Unfortunately she couldn't get the visa. I didn't understand what they spoke, because it was arabic.. but all I could understand is that the consular officer asked pics, but she showed only a few..and the officer asked e-mails and phone bills she couldn't show.. I don't know what they spoke, but all i saw she was very sad when she left.. I also thought since she left hubby's friend would leave too.. He would stay outside alone and also the weather was cold.

Then my number was called at 10.15.. A guy asked me the visa fee receipt and said I should wait. I said ok..but my husband is waiting outside, please let him in. He said the consular officer will interview with you, not with him. I said I know, but it is cold outside and I don't know how long i will wait to have my interview.. The guy was great..he called the gate door and hubby was inside in 5 min waiting turned to fun after he came

We saw another woman on marriage visa whose papers were in order, but the officer said to her she was on AP. We got really nervous.. All we have seen 2 marriage visa applicants, but they didn't leave the embassy happily.. There were 3 consular officers who were interviewing with people.. There was an Asian officer.. i told hubby I wish I could interview with him.. he was very nice.. Then my number was called at 12.30.. Yesss!! the Asian guy called me.. I got all my stuff.. He first asked me "what was your husband's name".. i answered and said he is sitting there.. He greeted hubby and hubby smiled at him.. Then he asked how we met, which schools i went when i was in the states, what hubby does for a living, where he lives.. and if I have any pics.. What a question! I said I had a lot.. and showed him our pics.. He said "very nice".. I was thinking to show him my power point presentation but he didn't want it.. He asked what I love about hubby.. I said "he is a very honest person".. this came to my mind first then he wanted listen our love story a little more.. I started to explain how we fell in love ) then he got my finger print.. I put my fingers on a small screen.. he said I should press more.. I smiled and said i didn't have breakfast this morning.. he laughed..then I thought how silly I was..who cares if i had breakfast! lol

Before the interview hubby said to me that I should only answer what he asks, don't give more info if he doesn't ask.. but obviously i didn't listen to him much.. ha ha! When he asked me how many times hubby has been in Turkey, I said "It is his fourth time, do you want to see his passport?" He asked me again what I love about hubby.. I wasn't expecting this question again ) Yes I could say a lot..but when you are on a big exam you can't think properly.. I said "I trust him a lot".. here goes! and I said "It will be 2 years in June 2009 we have been together but apart.. I said "Some of my friends said to me how you can trust him, you don't know what he does there (meant cheat).. I told them I trust my hubby!" He smiled at me and looked at hubby and said "now you can keep your eyes on him".. ha ha! visa approved!

great thing is that interview was yesterday and my passport was delivered today.. How fast!!!! We both are so happy and we wish everyone have a smooth journey...

Thanks again to all VJ family!!
